This place was so AWESOME!!!!! The owners and their staff go above and beyond for their customers! Moe, one of the owners, was so amazingly patient with all of the parties going on back to back! I was a little skeptical at first but it did not feel overcrowded (which I expected) and everyone still had a great time with it being on a Saturday! We were trying to have a very inexpensive birthday celebration and went for pizza and then here, hence why there was no party scheduled (for inquiring minds). My baby girl still talks about the time "Elsa" gave her her beautiful Ana dress! I did not schedule a party for her, but after seeing the other birthday children having a BLAST and getting their birthday shout outs,I had to do something! Seeing their parents smiling from ear to ear because of Funathon's A+ CUSTOMER SERVICE, I wanted to see what they could do to help me out with this failing plan I had. Surprisingly, Moe made a way for my children(and their friends) to enjoy the facility and have an opportunity to do a shout out for my baby girl. As a last minute request(my apologies and of course my fault), they called my daughter to the middle of the floor and did a birthday shout out to her with her favorite character, Elsa. They sang "Happy Birthday" to her and Elsa even danced with my little girl. Elsa came out during our selected song "Let It Go," and handed my daughter an Ana dress we purchased from the Disney Store, prior to going. I had it in the trunk and thought it would be so cool if Elsa gave my baby girl an Ana dress so they could be "sisters!" 🙂 She was elated when she saw Elsa come out with that dress! She was all smiles for the rest of the night! The character appearance was a little fee of $25, and they, of course, had to fit her shout out into the list of others they had to do, but it was so worth it and they did it within 30 mins of me asking. Elsa was out on the dance floor for 15 to 20 mins, which was awesome considering it being very last minute. I honestly didn't think it would make a difference since we were celebrating, but that personalized character birthday recognition, I learned afterwards, was definitely a necessity for a birthday party or gathering. I will be sure to do that next time for one of my other kiddos. I have seen birthday parties where the companies charge parents $60 and up for 30 minutes of character time(which would be the minimum). They had so many characters to choose from! While we were there, Elsa, Michaelangelo from TMNT, one of the Minions, Minnie Mouse and even Mickey came out. That was within the first hour of us being there! This place is awesome and I am so grateful that the owners and their staff are so dedicated to making their customers happy, even if we're being a pain! YOU ALL ARE A BLESSING TO THE COMMUNITY! The employees even missed their prom by choice because they wanted to make sure that everyone was taken care of and that their bosses had the help they needed! One young lady said she'd wait until next year's prom!!! I was shocked! They have AMAZING Customer Service skills and we will...
Read moreThis is only my 3rd review ever, it takes a lot for me to be this upset to write a negative review, however I feel it's important for someone to know the truth. I myself was very excited to see how well FunAthon was reviewed, which is why we decided to have a visit to see if it was a place to book my son's party and unfortunately all of these reviews let me down.
I wish that I could give a negative star rating, I'm not sure why this place is rated so high. As you enter the building there is a long line to the counter, as you pay you have people trying to gather their things to leave, right behind where you're standing at the register, really annoying when there are children and adults everywhere. The staff might as well be deer in headlights because that's EXACTLY how they act when you have any type of question. They either do not know the answer or stand there staring at you twirling their hair around their finger while smacking gum. There were several instances when my child (1yr old) was almost knocked down by 4 boys who were entirely to old to be playing in that establishment. My baby was playing in the correct baby 'zone' (which I had to ask about as there is no signage) and these older boys (about 12-13) were running around acting like they owned the place. There is a sign on the door that limits the age, though they were guests for a party, when I asked the "employee" if there was anything they could do to keep the older boys out the baby zone, she literally looked at me and said "What do you want me to do about it?" .......really, you work here, is the safety of your guests and more importantly, the children on your property not a concern? Or is it because I wasn't apart of the booked party? After I repeated myself 3 times asking her to do something, she finally spoke with them......it did not help. My family left soon after, I want my family to feel safe and secure when going to these types of places, however this cannot be said for FunAthon. I was going to book my son's birthday here, however, it is much to small, the prices are ridiculous for what they offer, the food was questionable, the staff is to young and not caring enough for patrons. I get it, you're tired of hearing kids run around, it's hard adulting but for the patrons and their children, your appearance and attitude count for a lot. You are the face of the business, if this is what you're presenting to me as fun, safe and caring then you are in the wrong business. Either train your employees to present your business better or hire a whole new staff. Please don't bother to leave a business reply of "I'm sorry you had a bad experience please call whatever number so we can work this out" It's not worth it to me to ever set foot in this place again.
In response to the owner, I am reviewing the correct establishment, you do have a sign that states an age range, another reviewer mentioned this as well, after all I wrote about this is the only response you have to give me? How professional of you to care about the children in your...
Read moreI used to enjoy bringing my daughter here, but recently I’ve noticed the place is starting to look run down. Today when I was there this is what I noticed: -one faucet in women’s bathroom not working -cracks/damage in wall near trampoline -trash scattered -rocket still not working -floor uneven making daughter trip -blow up slide needs more air -toys with no batteries -trampoline torn up and raggedy -stairs by thomas train not secured properly -toys stacked on each other so kids can’t play properly -ceiling tiles missing -only water fountain not working and apparently hasn’t in over a month -dirty bathrooms -a spill that was mopped and left wet for kids to run through and a customer complained to staff it was too wet and no one cared -no red bull in stock and still hasn’t been in a while -staff inexperienced
When I complained to the desk, the girl just said the owner is aware of things and is trying to fix it. I have spent lots of money here and I’m starting to think maybe time to find another place.
UPDATE
Since I’m not able to respond to the owner’s response, I’ll do it here. We’ve been very loyal and great customers for over a year and half and have spent quite some money here, even having our daughter’s party here. I really loved this place. I really thought the owner would be respectful and take what i said under advisement, instead I’ve received a very rude and unprofessional response in our native language so no one can understand. The response below translates to:
“Thank you, Aida. Better that you don’t come to us any more. We can do without your money, or comments.”
Thank you Mirza for that wonderful response. I’m only telling you what I’ve personally experienced and what other parents have said. I really thought you would take it seriously since it’s coming from me, but I guess not. I’ve worked in plenty of upscale places and the best thing management can do when they receive criticism is to apologize and address the problem. It works wonders and gives you customers for life. Even the best places need feedback to be better. Out of all the bad reviews you chose to ignore, I guess I feel special to have gotten this response. I guess you won’t be...
