Super Golden Buffet — Restaurant in Lawrenceville

Family and I were at this buffet today (Easter) around 3-4pm. Needless to say it was busy. Walking in was pretty typical of any buffet. They have a nice variety of foods a hibachi station, seafood station and sushi station. Lots of fresh fruit including canned fruit as well. A decent salad bar along with a decent selection of mayonnaise and vinegar based salads. Typical American Chinese food like wings, fried rice, chicken and broccoli, coconut shrimp etc.. Desserts were a huge miss- ice cream was okay, cakes were dry and flavorless. Cookies were ok. There was chocolate pie with peanut, pecan pie and some other random stuff they put out. The only things that were decent was the pies. I had the hot and sour soup which was actually hot and tasted good. Many of the seafood options were very popular among the patrons. Plates piled high with crabs. They had large crabs as well that my kids chose to eat, but upon inspection they were not cleaned, still had dirt on them. That was a total turn off. Overall the food choices I had, sushi, fruit, pepper chicken, crab Rangoon, coconut shrimp, fried shrimp were decent. The food is okay but could be better. The fried rice was undercooked and lacked flavor. It wasn't even real fried rice. I have noticed many Chinese restaurants are cutting corners in the preparation of there food and it shows. For an inexpensive lunch or dinner it's okay, I would return. I noticed that many of the foods are not labeled. My daughter actually took a bite out of a dessert ( chocolate peanut butter pie ( not labeled). She has an allergy,thank goodness she didn't have a reaction. This place can do better in regards to the food. Our server was great despite it being busy. In regards to atmosphere, some tables were too close which I didn't appreciate, made it a little difficult to maneuver depending on where you...

Update: Desserts tastes freezer burnt. They have definitely gone done since initial opening. Awful. The young hostesses were however much better, so I gave them a 2 star for that. I'm fair so I revisited for an updated review.

Visited location again and fed 7 individuals. I'm done now. Service was awful. The food was fair, so they get a one star. The female whom seated us was extremely rude. Everyone, STOP giving you money to those who do not give you great service!!!! I won't be back.

We visited this establishment again, to be fair, because We all have bad days. The consistency of food is good on Sunday but during the week, not so much. On weekdays, it is DEFINITELY NOT AS FRESH. The customer service was excellent by our male waiter but the hostesses at the front is awful. Horrible in fact. Not courteous at all. Honestly, it's critical NOT TO RETURN BUSINESS TO ESTABLISHMENTS WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Many of you have sent me messages about this establishment and I said give them a chance maybe it was a bad day, but at this point, I tend to agree. That final visit is forthcoming and I will put a seal on my review. I'll keep everyone posted and thank you for All your correspondence in my mailbox.

The food was great on Sunday and deplorable on Thursday. The food was fresh on Sunday, the customer service was excellent as well. On Thursday the food was reheated and the customer service was awful. The hostess tried to take my drink order prior to me being seated. She was rude and un-polite. The only time I will ever visit this location, if ever is on Sunday or Saturday. Be mindful everyone that the food and service level is fragmented...

Food was mediocre, the other buffets that are near have better quality food .if i could leave zero stars i would Don't get me started on the service , you barely can get anyone to come to your table and after my experience i would've rather them not come to the table at all because , the minute you speak to a server you become obligated to give a tip ! I saw my server once to get a refill on a diet coke and when i received the bill it automatically had a tip added . When i told them about it and to take it off ( i tip based off of how i was treated and the way that the server acts towards us) i was immediately responded with a nasty attitude. The guy that charged me did remove the tip but when he did the SERVER followed us telling us not to leave and that we HAD to leave a tip for her . When i responded to her by saying that i had barely saw her come to our table , didn't give us straws for our drinks or even came by to ask us if we were okay or if we needed anything she gave me such a horrible attitude and responded by saying that we HAD to tip her . The way we were embarrassed in front of people was so unprofessional. NOT TO MENTION THAT SHE GRABBED AND HELD MY WIFE WHILE WE WERE LEAVING AS IF WE WERE GOING TO RUN WITHOUT PAYING , TELLING HER THAT WE HAD TO LEAVE A TIP !!!!! I DONT CARE WHAT THE SITUATION IS , A SERVER SHOULD NEVER PUT HER HANDS ON THE CUSTOMER !!!!!! . Truly disgusting.
