I regret signing up to this gym. It's the grimiest and most uncleanly feeling gym I've ever been a member of. It reminds me of my HS gym that was built in the 70's. The entire gym is covered in a dusting of climbing chalk, which indicates this place is never thoroughly cleaned. The machines are old and beat, and on top of it they're gross - you can see dried sweat stains and bottles rings all over them, dust and fallen body hair cover the metal. The cardio equipment is always covered in dried sweat and routinely out of order. All of the equipment in general is dirty and old. Because of how dirty it is I don't feel comfortable using the stretching mats or floor work area. The walls are dirty and chipped - can you not do some touch up paint for your members? The carpet is brown and stained - when's the last time you steam cleaned? The same basketball sized stained has been outside the managers office since I joined. Staff seems to never be present except for congregating at the front desk to talk or be on their phones (today a staff member was coughing non-stop and wasn't wearing a mask). Some guy pushes a stolen Walmart shopping cart around with climbing mounts and old milk crate in it, and again, just gives it the perception of a dirty climbing gym. I've never once seen staff cleaning the equipment or enforcing patrons to, I've never seen anyone mop, and the place in general seems like it's intentionally been let go and management is disconnected. If it's ever truly cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected, it's very very infrequently. It feels very poorly run. How dirty it is post-COVID is telling of the culture here and lack of respect for it's patrons. One would expect a gym charging 50-60 dollars a month to be a 50-60 dollar a month gym. This place is ratty and not worth your money. No one seems to care. I go to the gym to feel good and working out in a dark, musty, humid, and uncleaned gym does not make me feel good about myself after a long day of work. I really regret singing here and I don't look forward to my workouts here. TruFit was my old gym, albeit smaller, but very clean and well maintained and a third of the cost. TruFit routinely had people deep cleaning and taking care of the place and making you feel safe. I really don't know where my money goes except for the payroll they seem to burn at the front desk. I came here based of a recommendation and the reviews and would encourage everyone to go in and see it -in-person. Not doing this was my mistake. I came here because it's close to home, but I'd rather sit in traffic and drive to cleaner gym than continue to give this place my money.
I a hate to leave any business a 1-star review, but my goodness is this place nasty. I'll be cancelling my membership as soon as Lemay opens up. Take my word for it, this is the grimiest gym in all of Fort Collins and it's old reviews do not reflect it's current condition. This dirty post-COVID is truly...
Read moreThis gym and staff is very disappointing compared to other gyms in Fort Collins. My partner and I originally belonged to ascent climbing gym but switched because we wanted to try miramont. We quickly came to regret the decision. My boyfriend and I were constantly bombarded with calls and text from miramont trying to recruit our friends to join. It felt like a job needing to respond. Even after we decided to leave the gym we got calls and texts about joining again. Their thirst for money is out of control and comes off as desperate. Unfortunately we were charged for the month after we terminated our gym contract and they refuse to give us our money back. We terminated the contract in January when we physically sat down with to discuss the terms with a man who works there. He confidently assured us that we absolutely won’t be charged for February or onward. When we noticed the extra charge on our card this month, we were very confused and called to try to fix this mistake and get our money back. When we called, the woman who we spoke to refused to give us our money back, saying that we should have known better because we need to give 30 days advance notice before termination and wouldn’t let us talk to a manager. The phone call went silent, and we actually had to call back and ask the operator to transfer us to the manager, Mariahs line, which then put us through to her voice mail. We left a message for her many days ago but have not heard back. This type of customer service is infuriating and we feel very taken advantage of and stolen from. I would not suggest this...
Read moreGyms like this need a better membership program instead of on the way out let’s bend our, soon to be, former clients over as hard as possible with cancel fees and oops you didn’t give 30 YUP 30 days of notice or you get charged another month bc we are not good at our jobs and simple desk work filing paperwork is too difficult to finish in a timely manner ...Hahaha this is what skeezy businesses do and I will def never be a part of these facilities again and I will strongly recommend to anyone looking for a gym that Genesis has decent facilities to use but are crowded and if you leave the contract early be prepared for a much lighter wallet. I just don’t understand how the money we’ve donated to them the last 5 months which is $450 for a couples membership isn’t sufficient bc we literally haven’t used the gym in that long. Nope not enough need more money for no service provided. If you can’t file the paperwork efficiently enough to terminate a membership without charging your customer an additional $300 YOU ARE A BAD BUSINESS and you will fail which I assume Genesis will be bought out in the near future or just straight up fold. I doubt Genesis will pay the contract cancellation fees to their members for not fulfilling their side of...
