Dirty Sheets HORRIBLE Managers!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! We booked 2 rooms the first night the king bed had dirty sheets, cigarette butts on the balcony, soap and hair in the shower. We check in at 11:30PM just used the top sheet to cover the dirty sheet so we could sleep with our 2 young children, only in town to be with my dying grandmother. The next day told the front desk showed them photos and was asked if they could inspect the room (as they did not believe me) Of course I said that would be fine they came up agreed the sheets were dirty etc. I was told the manager would contact us about compensation, We moved to a different room that fit our needs better, the next night at 10 PM after being in the hospital all day we pulled out the sleeper sofa only to find the sheets again used, the phone in the room did not work so I went to front desk, asked for clean sheets and reminded them to have the manager call me in the morning about compensation for both incidents (not asking for a free night just something minimal). The next day when we returned to the unit at 11 it had not been cleaned, I went to the front desk again to find out when it would be cleaned so my children could nap without being disturbed. I was told soon, at which point I asked the manager since she was there about the compensation, she said " I already told you I'm not giving you any compensation and ill prove you wrong" I explained to her I work in the vacation rental industry and understand things happen, but her response to my complaints were completely ignored. I advised her I would be leaving a review based on my experience. We booked the hotel for an additional 4 days and referred another family member as well. She then told me we had to check out and was going to charge me additional money because check out was at 11, I reminded her we booked until sat (it was Wed) I walked away went to our room put the kids down for a nap, got a knock on the door 45 mins later FROM THE POLICE!!!!!!!!!! This Women kicked us out of her hotel because we complained about the dirty sheets and told her we would write a review. See the photos. This women treated me and my family like criminals when we are only hear to be with our dying grandmother, we did not cause any problems of any sort, I cant believe these type of people still exist in this world. So sad the own a business and refuse to take responsibility for problems that come along with it and treat there customers fair. (apparently if you use the sleeper sofa this is how housekeeping...
Read moreFor some of us pet people, there is a world of difference between pet friendly and pet... tolerant. I should have realized when I called in my reservation that it was not going to go well. I always call my reservation in directly to the hotel, no online or discount sites, to prevent any issues at check-in. I have traveled significantly with my pets, and I don't believe I've ever had to sign a document that said I would leave my pets kenneled or on a leash at all times. It's also been a hot minute since I've stayed at a nicer hotel with this many security cameras. They will also hold $100 up front for "incidentals." Both during check in and check out, I could not describe either interaction as pleasant. I guess they don't like if you ask questions to clarify their policies, and was told "Everyone does that." Well, gosh, I've been on the road for the last month with my pets, including stays at other Best Western locations, and no, Everyone does not do that. I had high hopes for this location, and sadly, this was not the enjoyable and relaxing stay I had hoped for. Two stars given rather than 1 for credit where it is due: their housekeeping staff does a top tier job keeping faded and dated very clean. The bed was comfortable, and firm enough. And while the pool is outdoor, the hot tub is indoors, and was surprisingly hot, even in June. I also don't recall ever seeing a sign in another breakfast room saying not to take your breakfast back to your room. If you aren't traveling with furry family members, I'm sure this place is just fine, but think about somewhere else for your stay if you are pet people. Location is between everything, but close enough to drive to most of the things you would be in Fort Collins for, and not right off...
Read moreRoom was dirty. Carpets were filthy but manager went in and said there was nothing wrong with the room. Guess I have higher standards. Whatever nastiness spilled on the floor and chairs is gross. Breakfast was so so. Hotel needs to be remodeled and and rooms updated. Don't know what is in the room, but didn't get sleep because I was itching all night. Overall I'd compare this to a motel 8, and even some motel 8 are nicer than this. But for almost $200 a night, it's a rip off. Stayed at another best western the night before that was a palace compared to this location and actually was charged about $10 less for the room. I thought best western was suppose to be a decent hotel, but apparently they aren't all held to the same standards. Update-I haven't checked my account, but I did supposedly receive points toward a free night stay when I called corporate since the manager only offered $20 refund(which I didn't except), which I thought was more of an insult than anything when I didn't want to even shower there and my husband didn't even sleep in the hotel because we had a fair bit of value sitting in the bed of the truck, and based off the looks of the area and hotel and type of people hanging around in the parking lot, he wasn't going to leave it unattended. After everything combined, I was quite irritated spending almost $200 for a room that we didn't want to use. Also, they have a sign in lobby stating no refunds once you check in. Otherwise I would have left that night, but it was already after 10pm and I have kids. I didn't think it would keep getting worse as the night went on. So yes I was offered the points, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't be warned...
