Iâm not the type of woman to go to expensive and overpriced hair salons. Been there and done that and most are extremely overpriced. This is my go to place whenever I need a haircut. Itâs close to my house and the prices are extremely reasonable. They do a lot of things like highlights, coloring, styling, etc. but I have only gotten haircuts here because I donât dye my hair or anything like that. Everyone has always been very nice here and I havenât had any complaints except for one. You can download and install the Great Clips app on your phone and check in to save you a spot. The last time I went there, I used the app to check in when I got into the parking lot. I went in and sat down like I have been doing for the past two years. I never had an issue until this last time. The app said the wait was 11 minutes but I ended up waiting for over 45 minutes and people walked in, got there hair done and checked out. After everyone was finished, I was the only one sitting in the waiting area. I was finally approached by an employee asking me if I was there waiting to get a haircut. In my mind, all I could think of was some sort of sarcastic remark like no, I just enjoy sitting in establishments and sitting for an hour. But of course I responded politely. Anyway, my response was yes I was and that I signed in using the app. Well apparently if you use the app, you still have to go to the register, wait in line and sign in with someone as well. I honestly thought that was the point of the app to avoid having to wait in line to check in. But apparently I was wrong and itâs pointless to even use the app to check in. Iâve been using Great Clips ever since moving to Florida and have never had to check in twice except for here at Big Bend and 301. Anyway, that has been my only issue, but at least I now know for next time so that I donât have to wait for an hour.
I have always had nothing but great experiences at Great Clips In Tampa, Brandon and in Riverview up until last month when I got a haircut and used the app to check in. My haircuts have always turned out great and they even blow dry and style my hair for me. I just get a typical bob type haircut so to me, thereâs no reason to pay $70 or whatever the price is now for a haircut at expensive type hair salons. If youâre low maintenance like me, I highly recommend using Great Clips. I have experienced in other establishments where the outcome has always been âyou get what you pay forâ like for example, you get a cheap haircut and they cut your hair crooked or miss chunks of hair. I tried to be patient the entire time I was in the chair, but Emily did not listen to my request for leaving the length in my hair and simply trimming and blending. It is the choppiest haircut Iâve ever gotten and my elderly mother with cataracts yesterday even mentioned that she âbutchered my hair.â My half blind mother wouldâve done a better job. I have cried every day since I left the salon, I worked for years to get the length in my hair and now it is gone and doesnât even look like a proper cut. Itâs like she had her eyes closed, no blending whatsoever and all different lengths! I asked her for do a simple trim with taking as little length off as possible, even taking the time to explain to her that I have a lot of anxiety around getting haircuts because stylists have not listened to my concerns about removing too much length before. She proceeded to tell me stories about other people in her life that have anxiety, but let her cut her hair and they are happy when they are done. I am in no way, shape, or form happy. This is the second worst haircut I have ever gotten and quite frankly I am livid about it. My length is gone, it is incredibly choppy, and it looks terrible straight or styled.    Read moreThe Computers went down, there was about a half dozen customers waiting for service and the staff completely stopped working. These folks could use a lesson in customer service.. I sat in disbelief, how bewildered the staff seemed because the credit card machine would not function. When another staff member stated this happens about the same time all the time.. The Business came to a complete holt for an extended period of time. Hense we departed. The lack of professionalism and confusion does not bold well or convey reassurance to allow a person with sharp objects around my person or members of my family.
Your response is I should share with you to which Great Clips Location was extremely over whelmed and didn't care what or how many customers sat in disbelief to their lack of professionalism is posted to the Big Bend Riverview website.
