Maple Street Biscuit Company — Restaurant in Riverview

My experience at Maple St was during a busy Saturday morning. My first impression of the place as a walked in was very satisfactory. My husband and I where greeted by 2 very pleasant young ladies at the counter and directed to where the menu’s were. The place is very modern , just a touch of tradition and clean. During the time that we scan the menu It was very comforting to see that all the employees where taking all the precautions to prevent any COVID-19 spread. When we order since it was our first time here Jazmin was very kind and explained the menu and answered any questions I had regarding it. She also recommended her favorites as well.As we waited Jazmin treated us for being first time customers to very delicious icing biscuits , soft conversation and great customer service,😱 talk about feeling welcomed. About the food we order let me tell you Potatoes O Bryan are just perfect taste enough cheese and bacon to satisfy any potatoes lover. My husband had one of their peoples favorites and he was just as happy with the taste portion and the service as I was. I didn't go into the restaurant, but I did place an online/delivery order. I called twice prior to placing the order, both times with different questions. I am truly thankful to the two girls that helped me over the phone during both calls. The first was about ordering gluten free options, and the girl was so helpful and patient. The second time, I called asking about decaf coffee, and the girl stated she would personally look out for my order to ensure it was made as decaf.

I cannot thank you both enough for this. Within the last year, I found out that I have multiple allergies/intolerances. I cannot tell you how many times at restaurants where people have disregarded these issues and treated me like I was less for them. I understand that for employers it can sometimes be extra painful during the busy day having to cater to certain extra needs of guests. I promise you, no one hates the intolerance or allergy more than the person with the allergy.

I want to thank this store greatly for their kindness, patience, and for going above and beyond. Also, the food and coffee were both absolutely delicious, clean, well packaged, and the portion sizes and costs were on par. I will surely be back, order again, and encourage others to go. We were excited to try Maple Street Biscuit Company for breakfast, but unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite live up to expectations.

To start, the plate and silverware weren’t as clean or high-quality as we would have hoped, which set the tone early. The biggest issue for us was finding a hair on our kid’s plate, which was disappointing and really affected our overall impression.

The food itself was just okay — not bad, but nothing that stood out, especially given the price point. We also noticed there weren’t many great options for vegetarians, which made it harder for one of us to find something satisfying. For what we paid, the portion sizes seemed small, and we left feeling like it wasn’t quite worth the value.

After ordering, things got a bit chaotic. There’s no table service or assigned numbers, and finding a place to sit was challenging with how busy it was. When your food is ready, they call out your name — but with the noise and crowd, it’s easy to miss if you’re not paying close attention.

Overall, we appreciated the concept, but the experience left a lot to be desired. There’s definitely potential here, but cleanliness, organization, and menu diversity could really use...
