Raheem Night Shift Manager (short male, red staff shirt, arm tattoos, buzz cut fade) - 11/7/24 @ 4:18 pm Disappointing Experience at Dairy Queen – Poor Customer Service and Communication
I recently placed a mobile order at this Dairy Queen location, only to find that the location had closed early. When I attempted to resolve the issue, I was directed to a corporate number, as the employees on-site were unable to process a refund for mobile orders. The following day, I received a call from a Dairy Queen representative (corporate said it would be a store owner, it was actually the GM) who was courteous and assured me that I could come in for a refund and that the night manager would be informed. Due to my work schedule, I was unable to make it in but visited the next day instead, as instructed.
Unfortunately, when I visited the location to receive my refund, the experience was extremely inappropriate and unpleasant. Upon arrival, I was treated with overt rudeness by the manager, Raheem. He seemed irritated from the start, interrupting me frequently and expressing skepticism about my situation, despite my efforts to calmly explain what I had been told by corporate and the DQ General Manager. When I politely requested that he allow me to finish explaining, he raised his voice further, displaying an unprofessional and condescending attitude. During our interaction, he called the prior night’s shift manager to confirm my story and my name, which the night manager confirmed as accurate. Rather than apologize or acknowledge the misunderstanding, he simply laughed dismissively, only then proceeding with the refund.
To make matters worse, he began to make disparaging condescending comments about "kids these days," which I found both disrespectful and unnecessary, particularly since I am an adult who was simply following up on an unresolved issue. This remark was especially disappointing given that I had approached the situation respectfully and was seeking a straightforward resolution. His attitude was dismissive throughout, despite my continued calm and polite demeanor.
After some back-and-forth, I finally received my refund. However, when I asked for his name for reference, he continued with the intermittent dismissive laughs and refused to provide it, however it was on the refund receipt - Raheem. His unprofessionalism, along with his dismissive treatment of a paying customer, left a lasting negative impression. As a local of 15 years, I will no longer attend this DQ location, nor friends and family of mine after learning of this predicament.
I have since contacted corporate, and they documented the details of this incident. I was asked to give permission for the franchise owner to reach out to me and was assured that this matter would be addressed to improve customer service and communication...
Read moreMy wife and I have some issues and concerns pertaining to our visit to the Dairy Queen Grill & Chill located at 13316 US-301 South in Riverview, FL on Friday, August 6, 2021.
We went to their for lunch. We ate on the patio. I went inside to order. I looked at the menus listed on the monitors for kids meals. I did not see the kids meals listed so I had to ask. I ordered two kids meals with plain hamburgers. I also ordered two $6.00 meals deals and upsized both to small blizzards. When I was told the price I questioned it. I did not know the kids meals were so expensive - almost $5.00. Had I been able to see the kids meals prices I may have ordered my grandchildren something else.
When the food came out one of the kids meals was not a plain hamburger as I had requested, rather it was loaded with condiments. We also noticed that the bags in which the kids meals came in had the 50 cent coupon removed. I looked at my receipt, I did not see where the 50 cent off coupon was applied to the bill so I went back inside to see if I could in fact locate the kids meals on the menu boards. Many of the menu boards (monitors), were static displays but I did see one monitor where the food items changed. My thoughts were this is where I would see the kids meals and prices displayed; I thought wrong.
At this point I was left asking myself if the price of the kids meals were in fact $4.79 per the receipt or if this was the price with the 50 cent off per meal. Again, had the prices of the kids meals been displayed for all customers to see then I would have known.
Your menu items should be accurately displayed on your monitors. Not doing so raises serious concerns for a customer. Tearing off coupons from child's meal bags prior to giving the child's meal bags to a customer is a poor and sloppy business practice.
I expected better from...
Read moreDue to the low rating was because of the attitude of the worker in the back. The person who cashed us out at the drive thru was polite however there was an obnoxious lady in the back that had gotten irritated that we had done drive thru for our curbside… now before you get bothered that i had done that i had called once i had arrived for the curbside. But noone answered the call. Then i figured itd be easier for everyone that i go to the drive thru and purchase another meal while informing them about the curbside order. However that was not the case. The lady kept complaining about why we didnt call bout the curbside ( we did just noone answered). She just kept going with the comments tho. Mind you we can hear the whole convo happening. We sat quietly until i had gotten irritated i told my partner to just drive off. It wasnt worth sittin their listening to rude people. We ended up with the curbside order which was a blizzard and vanilla cone. And a partial of my meal which was only the coke. And it wasnt busy at all so i dont know what was going on. But… I will never go back to this location even if the...
