I truly enjoyed going there as I saw and bought some things from my childhood... brought back some good memories, too!! I found/bought a refrigerated treat I that I've been telling my kids and husband about FOREVER, but, sadly, I think it was an old product as it was extremely hard and.... blah, even at room temperature😥. The canned items, I think, will survive the return trip home. 😉 Their produce and seafood counter are just so impressive! I also asked for a calendar and its a great desk sized calendar too, not like the ones that I would normally get fro my local Korean store; the big, huge wall/hanging ones with pretty Korean locales

Now, about their little food area... I had been reading the reviews, and everyone made it sound soooo good!! But when I got there, I was 10000x overwhelmed by their menu! I don't think I remember reading that they had well over 50 items to choose from. I chose a kimchee soup dish that had my favorite fish in it: Mackerel or Mackerel Pike. Either one, it did not disappoint because I think they use the whole fish--not exactly de-boned, but cut into 4-8 good-sized chunks. And tons of kimchee. And I'm also a sucker for Shrimp Tempura, BUT, AND BE WARNED: IT IS THE WHOLE SHRIMP, including its shell, legs, head, AND eyeballs. I was just so hungry after walking back and forth around the (good-sized) store that I just thought they were the colossal shrimp, stretched out to fit the skewers and the dark spots where the burnt Tempura batter from the bottom of the wok/pan.

I plan to return before this assignment is over, and thank God, there's another...

Selection is really good here. But they incessantly complain about your money. I mean literally almost every time, they are nitpicking about a bill or change that is slightly dirty or imperfect. Yes money is dirty. That’s supposed to be a given, and common sense. But they don’t care about common sense here. Nor do they care about being polite to their customers. The pharmacy people, food service and other vendors are really nice however.

Update The cashiers here are unbelievably rude and disrespectful, especially to the elderly. They throw your merchandise and groceries around causing damage to them, even throwing them to the floor, aimlessly, with zero care, while giving you a nasty look. And they leave your stuff on the floor for a long time before even thinking about picking it back up. No sorry. No thank you. Just a dirty, nasty look. Looking around, I see elderly with large amounts of groceries and large heavy items. Many of them going back and forth from their car and back inside the grocery store to retrieve their large heavy items little by little, by themselves, without anyone offering to help. Not a single employee even thinks to help them. Even after I decide to help all the elderly with their items. Still, not a single employee takes notice or even thinks to help. This extreme lack of care or concern for your patrons is disgusting, disgraceful,...

Very bad customer service, and unreasonable employee. I normally shop at this location, they are the only store i know that sells fresh fish in my area. My roommates whom do not know much about fish, Purchased 6 tilapia fishes from the store. They only ask the fishery guys to gut and clean the fish stomach. They did not know you have to remove the fish scales. So they brought the fishes home with scales. A couple of days later when i wanted to cook the fishes I realized the scales were still on the fishes. so i took it back to the store to ask them to clean it for us. The lady at the customer service desk refused to have the fishery guys clean the scales off the fishes because we did not have our receipt. I repeatedly told her that we bought the fish there and we only needed for them to clean the scales off the fish. I pleaded with her several times with no positive outcome. she insisted that the manager( whom never came to listen to us) said i have to have my receipt. i left the store in frustration and had to deal with the mess of descaling 6 fishes at home. The customer service at this store is bad, These people were being unreasonable for such a simple issue that could've been...

We have been customers for 15+ years. Last weekend we came to shop and decided to have lunch inside where we also are frequent customers. My sister got a to go container for her soup after eating half. When pouring it in the container, she found a bug(see picture). When bringing it to the ladies attention she had an attitude and did not want to help. She said, "well you ate half already." Yes, because we didn't know there was a bug until we transferred it. She said she would remake a new one. Mind you, it took 35 mins to get the first one. We requested a refund as we did not have time to wait. We have an hour drive back home. She argued and said she did not give money back. Finally, she gave my sister a refund and yelled at her never to come back again. You served us bugs, and you are telling us not to come back? This lady has never been pleasant in all the years we've been coming here. She is very hard to approach just to even order food. We will not be back at this location, which is sad because we love coming here. Will take our business to Lotte.

Great selection of Korean and other asian groceries. Convenient location near a lot of other shopping spots. The produce section is better than you'll find in most Western groceries, as is the meat section. The seafood section is full of fresh raw fish, shrimp, etc., but also squid and other good stuff (I love seafood). The snack section has a lot of good stuff that you can't get elsewhere. I personally come here for cheap but delicious staple foods—Golden curry, Samyang spicy ramen, rice, and all kinds of sauces, seasonings, meats, and vegetables. Only drawbacks are that prices are a bit on the expensive side, and the parking lot and store itself are always packed. It's definitely worth the wait though if you like to cook with quality ingredients.
