BEWARE OF SUPER HIGH PRICES, BIGOTRY, and bad vibes! If you’re not used to paying an excessive amount for your nails DONT COME HERE. Just like the other comments say, they are racist and rude here. They try to be fake nice but you can feel the owners attitude. I came to this salon from dc because of their talent for designs, however they will charge you an excessive amount for even the SIMPLEST DESIGN. I got charged $120 for gel x medium length. I got a design easier than French and was charged $45 for the design alone !!!! $25 for chrome which you can barely even see the chrome on my nails. It was a complete rip off. I also didn’t like the way she was doing my nails. I tried to tell her I wanted it less see through and she argued with me. Next she left black lines on my white nails! I told her to fix one and she looked at me crazy and said the top coat will cover it. YOU CAN STILL see it. This is the third time I come here AND THE LAST!! every time I do they come off racist and rude. On top of this, they are overcharging about every service they offer. While the place is nothing out of the ordinary. It’s very tiny and all the pedicure and manicure chairs are very tight together. It’s literally a closet. I would understand if the place matched the price. I’ve been to more Modern places and they have never charged me this much. Furthermore, the second I got off my chair she already had a new client on my chair. My purse was still at the table! I didn’t even have time to gather my stuff. ON TOP OF ALL THIS, at the end of my manicure she filed my nails more, leaving dust and file shavings all over my hands. AFTER THIS SHE PROCEEDS TO PUT LOTION ON MY DIRTY HANDS FULL OF POWDER OF THE SHAVING. It was very uncomfortable. THERES MORE! Me and my friend were never offered a drink. We were 10 Min late for our appointment and they ended up taking my friend an hour later!!! They also RUSH ALL THEIR WORK. You’re paying $100-150 for literally an hour of rushed work. I’m Glad my nails look good but it was definitely not worth the INSANE PRICE. Again $45 for a design that’s less complicated than French with very minimal chrome. I was there Saturday and HOW ARE MY NAILS LIFTING ALREADY! THE APPLICATION WAS HORRIBLE. I hope they last especially for the price ;/. Again I’m not cheap, I’ve paid up To $150 at this place for a very complicated design. However charging me $120 for something that’s simple and has mistakes is GREEDY. This place is disrespectful. LAST, there was a very nice lady next to me, she has driven 50 min for her appointment. THEY HAD HER WAITING AN HOUR until she complained and they finally took her. BUT she has booked with Deedee and they told her she wouldn’t be able to do her pedicure. They don’t respect appointments at all because they are so greedy they will take a walk in first!!! This women has a double appointment and they still neglected that. DO NOT COME HERE THEY ARE RUDE and the place Doesn’t match the price. Customer service is horrible and fake. Read moreI’ve been coming for over a year, unfortunately they still don’t know my name and call me Jess after multiple corrections. I kept going out of convenience. I was booking standing appointments until I came in a few weeks ago my usual service cost $200 with my nails and the pedicure I was squeezed into the end pedicure chair where I had to climb over implements and my appointment was rushed like I was a walk in, the tech seemed surprised when I mentioned having an appointment, that’s when I felt there was no value in making an appointment because there’s no consideration for a repeat client. This was my appointment right before Christmas so instead I’ve giving a $50 tip as I gave my other service providers I only gave 15%.
Today I was a walk in at 11am, I needed a fill in and pedicure (what I always get). The shop was busy so at first I was told no and I understood and started to leave but then I was asked to wait 15 min, I waited 30 which was fine. During my appointment at least 4 walk-in pedicures were taken. When my nails were done I asked what pedicure chair I should sit in. There was a look of surprise “Oh you want a pedicure too?! We don’t have anybody” I asked “you didn’t hear me ask for a Fill in and Pedi (again my usual but when a shop doesn’t bother to remember your name why would they remember my service that I’m there every three weeks for.) No response,I was told to come back later in an HOUR or so, it’s now 1:30. If there was no time to do both my services I would not have stayed. No apology for the miscommunication. I asked if it’s possible to just do a polish change a the owner threw her hands up and said everyone is busy. No care or accommodation for a good client. Just a lack of care and bad customer service. Come here for the base level of service and have no expectations of kindness. Read moreIF I can give zero stars I would. I had already written another review, but I need to say more. I got my nails done on Dec 21st, and my OVERCHARGED gel x service has not lasted. Most of my nails are already lifting and one has already come off. This is very very upsetting as ive never paid so much for nails just for them to last me less then two weeks!!!!! VERY UPSETTING. I don’t see how the extensive training that the owner mentioned in my last review paying off… and as too your workers, I think you have a responsibility as an owner to makes sure your workers get a lunch break. It’s clear some of your nail techs aren’t trained in gel x. Again I had been here before this, but this service was unacceptable. I was really shocked at the price. I was charged $25 for the chrome, $20 for the design, and then so forth for a total of $120. I had was clearly shocked and asked for the break down nicely but in return got an attitude. I’ve paid $150 for nails, I’m not cheap. But I know this wasn’t worth $120 to last 9 days. Just greedy.
Hi! I wanted to add to my past review. Thank you for offering to make up for it, however at this time I no longer have a desire to come into the salon, as I tried to mention before the work was rushed and the owner responded by telling me that “ they can check the cameras”. Again I’m not a rude client, but I know when work is rushed. More of my nails have fallen off and I would really like a refund please. I have added more photos here. I think it’s really unfair to pay $120 for work that wasn’t well done. I know things happen and people have off days, however I can’t afford to pay for a service that didn’t last.
