I've been getting my hair bleached for roughly 15 years. I've been to great stylists and bad stylists. This time I decided I wanted to go platinum again. It wasn't my first time with the shade but it will be my first and last time there. I lost my last stylists in the Covid shuffle and decided to try somewhere new. Never again. The option I wanted wasn't on the scheduling list, I called to correct it and it never got entered. They quoted me way too high, but I was supposed to be paying for quality and I had massive growth since I hadn't had it touched in a year. The first half of the process went great, I felt comfortable and was hopeful of success. Then she did my roots. Half way in I knew something was wrong. I've had mild burning sensation before and itching. Anyone who's gone blonde knows it's part of the process. This felt as though someone was pouring acid on my head. The pain was so bad it built pressure in the weirdest places and burned the inside of my nose and throat with just the fumes. I couldn't sit, I had to keep moving because she wouldn't take it off because it hadn't lifted enough. I told her it burned too bad and she told me beauty is pain. She eventually washed it out, and by the time I left I had paid well over 100 more than she quoted me. It's been 5 days and my scalp is a giant scab from the chemical burns she caused. I will never go back. I've had a burn here or there a time or two and know it happens. BUT THE ENTIRE CROWN OF MY HEAD IS A SCAB and that is unacceptable. That she basically laughed it off and told me beauty is pain ontop of overcharging me is the outside of enough. I didn't even get the color I wanted so no it wasn't worth a second of the pain I experienced. She scheduled me back for a week after so she could give it that final push it needs to get there 'no charge'. No thanks, I don't need a...
Read moreI needed to switch salons as the one I had been going to had deteriorated so badly and as we all know that can be terrifying.
Fortunately it was the best decision I have made for my hair in years. I was able to get an appointment fast (which can be a bad sign) the service was EXCELLENT, the hair process and cut were EXCELLENT and I will never go back to my old salon. Additionally the environment was relaxing and more of a family environment. Your not put in a corner with a bunch of magazines while your hair is processing. Additionally my hair is waist length and unlike some places there was no sighing or quiet complaining about the extra work involved.
This is the best hair experience I have ever had and I am so thrilled with MARIE and this salon. She has only been with them a few months and I hope she never leaves!!!!! ...
Read moreJust had probably the best hair cut of my life. My hair is extremely thick and difficult to work with, and I usually leave the salon looking looking like I have a helmet head or a cut modeled on Dora the Explorer. I called and booked a last minute cut with Veronique, since she had an opening and I really needed to get in on a Monday. She attentively listed to what I wanted, and the minute she started I could tell I was in expert hands. Unlike other stylists, she seemed to really understand where I needed to be trimmed and thinned to look cute and current. Maybe because she’s from France, but Veronique left me feeling like a French model. Love this haircut and love her. I highly...
