I love finding new places to eat. I'm not sure how I have missed the Sunny Wok for the entire year plus that I have lived here in Bradenton but I am definitely glad that I found it. It's right next to the Goodwill just off of 70.
It's pretty much what you expect from a little Chinese restaurant. It is a clean little shop with a half dozen tables. And of course the great scent of the food being cooked in the kitchen.
I ordered two of the lunch specials (which is served with either white or fried rice and either an egg roll or a can of soda). I ordered the bourbon chicken and a beef with black beans and vegetables. I also ordered a large egg drop soup.
Both lunches were great and the egg drop soup was spectacular tasting and had a fantastic amber color.

Read moreBefore I get into detail there was metal shaving on my chicken maybe from a metal brush they used to clean off their pots I don't know I picked it off and looked through my food to make sure there was no more metal shavings...the chicken was burnt hard to eat the rice tasted burnt not sure how you do that and the hot and sour soup tasted like cleaning material and the location is not clean... Read moreI’m here at least two to three times a week and always had a great experience....tonight I ordered the lemon chicken and I am just at a loss for words...I ordered it at 915 or so (online says they close at 10) I figured it wouldn’t be the freshest, but they gave me old, hard, super dry chicken- obviously they didn’t wanna make it because I’m told it’s a bit of a process that takes a little while. My issue? Just SAY that!!! Tell me you’re out of it, or can’t make it right now...they really let me down tonight. 13 bucks or more for some lo mein noodles and a lemonade- the only thing that was edible...I may give them another chance one day, but I won’t be back...
