I stopped by to pick up some stone crabs claws today. The proprietor insisted I wear a mask which I declined. She told me she would refuse service and I said okay and that in turn, I would no longer purchase there as it's my right to not mask myself. She screamed at me to "get out". I left and went to my truck and left a review, similar to this one, on FB. Apparently, they were monitoring FB at the time and before I left, a male, apparently the owner came out to my truck to threaten me and go off on me about leaving a review (apparently they not only want to tell customers how to breathe but also are against free speech). He got in my face, screaming at me and filming my truck/tag while threatening to call the police. OK.... Anyway, to each his own, you want to wear a mask, by all means but don't tell me to. I have no problem being refused service but I have the right to breathe and share my opinion. There are many of us who are fed up with the fear peddling nonsense about masks preventing the spread of viruses and we are tired of being told what to do - so your right to refuse service is respected, my right to refuse patronage is legit and my right to share my experience is as well. Just be aware, these two are nuts and strike me as potentially dangerous. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day but I will never purchase from them and would advise my friends...
Read moreEDIT BASED ON RESTAURANT REPLY: You will notice that the restaurant's replies to all the negative reviews are nothing but excuses and a bit of arrogance. The problem isn't that I can't afford your overpriced, unpalatable food. It's that your food is not worth the money and there are many other seafood restaurants in the area that actually know how to make a Lobster Roll using REAL lobster that is much fresher and less chewy than you. I noticed you failed to mention that your Lobster Roll only contains 1/4 pound chewy, overcooked lobster meat mixed with mayonnaise on a bun for $18.99. 3 ingredients. How can you think that is correct? Do you charge extra for overcooking the lobster? Do you weight the lobster after you mix in the mayonnaise? Ugh, so bland and boring!
So as far as your offer to come back on Trick-em Tuesday, no thank you. I prefer to eat at establishments that know how to properly prepare food. I don't care about price as long as the food is high quality with the high price. You really need to think about hiring a chef. It's not always a good idea to just hire family.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: They are very expensive for what you get especially the Lobster Roll. It's literally just 1/4 pound of lobster and mayonnaise on a roll. Very bland and skimpy for $18.99. It does include 1 meager side but it is most...
Read moreBe warned even though this listing states they are open til 7pm, they close their kitchen at 630pm. Very annoying to drive there by 640pm and they can’t make a lobster roll. Update hours on Google to reflect reality. Can’t understand turning down a paying customer standing in front of you. Won’t be back!!
REPLY TO OWNER: First of all- you’re wrong. Your hours are posted as open to 7pm on your website (in TWO different places) and on Facebook. See attached pictures. So kindly get your information correct before you pop off on the Internet and look ignorant and RUDE.
Google is by far the most used resource for business address and hours of operation, not Facebook and not your website linked in the Google listing. As the business owner it’s your responsibility to correct any mistakes on your listing. You have access to your listing, that’s how you replied to my review. You have the option to add separate hours, just like CVS does for store and pharmacy. Or here’s a thought, close at one time for the “bistro” and market like any other establishment that operates as food service.
Additionally I’ve had your lobster rolls, they are mediocre at best. And the customer service is so poor that you truly do deserve the 1 star.
