Totally messed up my friends meal requests. Mine was fine, but I didn't change anything from the menu. The FOOD was excellent, and the drink (A blueberry concoction) was absolutely spectacular. It saved the entire experience on its own, by itself. I think next time we need to ask for a native English speaker with a notepad to take proper notes so that when you ask for something with changes, the wait staff should write it down so they don't forget or maybe they didn't understand in the first place. Personally, I wanted to send it all back and have them remake it correctly to the order after talking to a manager and explaining the situation. But, my friend appealed to me for a more tolerant approach, and seeing as it was their food, I really couldn't ask for something they didn't want. However, that was pretty much a downer of an issue, and they could not enjoy most of their meal because of either something being THERE that was asked NOT to be there (NO SAUCE OVER ANYTHING), or something that was asked to be THERE was missing (extra lime wedges). The only thing that made the service two stars was I gave one for my meal being spot on and delicious (again, I had NO changes to mine, so it would be hard to mess that up) and another star for the Blueberry Cocktail having the extra blueberries that were asked for in it and the fact that it was crazy good! EVERYTHING had wonderful flavors. And there will be a second chance to see next time, but I also know what to look for as well. I'm sure it was just a new waiter without a lot of experience. A notepad should be 100% required for all wait staff, I don't care how good they think their memory is. And, I am impressed that the (Owner) replied and even sounded like they genuinely wanted to HELP with the issue, by coaching their staff on how to do an exceptional job (and get even more of a tip next time, again, my friend asked that I tip well even though their meal was all wrong, so, I did - If not for that, I would have left much less to show my disapproval of attention to detail. I would have written what the issue was too on the receipt so it was well documented for...
Read moreWhere do I start? I really wanted to love this place. The decor was fantastic and our server's greeting was one of the best I've had. The first round of drinks came out and they were amazing! Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. We ordered the handmade guac and after ordering, they informed us that the cart couldn't make it to our table so we missed out on the whole purpose of it being made table side, although it was quite good. After placing our orders, our server disappeared and our food never came. He eventually came to check on us and brought tortillas but still no food and there never was another chance to order drinks. After an HOUR AND A HALF, our food finally came. My chimichanga was just ok, my partner's carne asada was pretty bad, and our friend's tacos were good. We decided to return the carne asada because none of us would eat it and the server tried to rattle off replacement dish ideas, which was an admirable attempt but at this point we were just trying to get out of here (keep in mind we have been stuck here almost 2 hours at this point). A manager eventually came over and also begged for a replacement order and after turning down numerous offers, my partner finally said yes to fajitas to try and just settle it so we can cash out and leave. The fajitas took another 30 minutes to come out and then we finally got the bill but then get this, they charged us for the fajitas that they begged us to take as a replacement! They even tacked on an extra $2 because they were steak! It took a lot of very awkward back and forth but we finally were able to comp the fajitas that we never wanted and were able to get out of there TWO AND A HALF HOURS from when we were seated. Never asked for drink refills, no apologies for our orders obviously not being put in, no comp of bad food, and charged for replacement food we didn't even want. I'll never be back here myself but I hope they figure things out because I think they have a lot...
Read moreThe food, staff, and atmosphere, were all OUTSTANDING ! Coming from St.Pete, where we went to Carmelita's most of our lives - on Park St., we were super happy, to find our new Mexican food spot, here in Bradenton ! Lakewood ranch area, right off I75, off of state rd 70. EVERYTHING IS FRESH AND DELICIOUS ! Portions were perfect. Chips and salsa were fresh, and were there, as soon as you sat down ! Our waiter was super friendly and attentive.A total sweetheart of a young man. We didn't want for anything, as he was right on top of it. Very positive staff and atmosphere. There were people from ALL ethnicities, enjoying an evening together, in perfect peace and harmony. It was so chill. This place has a very positive vibe. I felt happy being there ! They do have a bar, but manage to be family friendly, at the same time. I also loved the artwork and theme. I love the tall booths. Our 1st time there and as we walked to our tables, everyone was smiling, the customers, the wait staff, everyone. We knew we were in for some great food. If it were myplace, I would include a mariachi band, on Friday and Saturday evenings. Maybe one outside, under an umbrella, from like 2pm to 5pm on Friday afternoons and inside, on Fridays and Saturdays from about 6pm to 10pm. Please go and check this place out. You won't be disappointed! I give them 5 stars! They are doing a FANTASTIC JOB ! It was packed, but you can make reservations. Enjoy !!! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 p.s. if you get cold easy, bring a sweater, and wear slacks or jeans. I get cold easy and had long sleeves and was actually ok. But if I didnt have a long sleeve shirt, I would be cold. But that is only because these people, who work there, are busting their buttons, making sure to accomdate you and need it cooler than we, who are there to sit and eat. But, you will love their food and their staff are absolutely wonderful ! Please go eat here, at least once, in your lifetime. It is well worth the trip !...
