I don’t know much about the place I live close by and it always looks busy so I’m sure business is good . In regards to the three stars I would like to share some thoughts when I looked into getting a membership there I placed a inquiry online or I called cannot remember but right out of the gate I heard some things that I did not care for and I feel I need to share . First off whomever I spoke to uses a sales tactic but getting to know why you would like to join. Innocent at first , car salesman do it almost any sales person worth there weight in gold does it . Usually not a big deal. Second when it came to price the gentleman I spoke too did not want to give a straight forward answer all he wanted me to do is come in and sit down take a tour ect…. They usually do that so they can pressure you on the spot to join. Many gyms use the same tactics LA Fitness is the main culprit of that . Pressuring people is really not ok somebody is going to want to do it or not . Then after about 15 minutes of just asking for a price he finally says it’s 55 dollars plus a little extra . So of course I was like what’s a little extra . After another fees minutes I get an answer that basically doubled that amount . That’s not a little extra it’s double plus taxes and a deposit . This is why they get you to come in so they can get you while your there . Most people hate that tactic . Then they want you to sign a contract for a certain amount of months the more months you agree to the cheaper it is . So now your locked into something that if your life changes and you cannot go as often your on the hook which I believe they require your bank account info. LA FITNESS does this and if they payment does not go thru they will keep charging you racking up potential fees on your account they will just keep trying . I don’t know if LIGHTS OUT does that but I would like to assume based on the same sales technique as LAFitness mostly that would be a fair assumption . Then comes the hours a lot of people don’t have morning jobs that allows them time to come in the afternoon . Then the more people that are in a class at once the less real instruction you receive . Let’s say you don’t like it for some reason regardless your on the hook for months unless you choose month to month which is more money. It’s like your being punished for not signing up for more months which equals more profit for them. The pint I’m making is be cautious with them if your going to sign up make sure you can afford it of course and make sure you have the time to go get your moneys worth. What turned me off is the fact that I could not get a straight answer on price and how they wanted me to come in I was asked multiple times throughout the whole conversation . When I was with LA Fitness I literally had to cancel my bank account to get them to stop trying to pull payment from me there records showed I paid but they still counted to try to take payment . Just a suggestion have a straight forward price don’t be so secretive about what it cost it makes people question it . At least if your smart to see thru the tactic . Even if I had the time to go I would not simply based on the difficulty to receive a straight answer and then when I said no the multiple calls after days after to try and real me back in. I see a lot of good reviews but just be very careful to not rope yourself into something you may or may stick with. Many people start gyms and fall out with the dedication. If I they were straight up and not trying to use sales tactics I might have joined...
Read moreI'am very disappointed, this place false advertising and a scam, here's why! I had came across a ad on FB of a 6 week challenge. I was super excited when I seen it and thought why not. I have been fighting and struggling with mental and chronic health issues and wanting to get back into shape. According to the ad, The ad didn't give no other information of payment or whatever the catch was, just everything that was included such as a personal trainer, nutrition, boxing, strength training, everything that just sounded to good to be true. So I had signed up through the ad to scheduled a consultation, and was and speaking with someone through SMS. It was asking about strength and weaknesses and of any other information to leave my coach to where they could get to know me better. As well they would like to "throw a free hand wrap in on every orientation". It did boost my head, so I was like ok lets go!!! I had a consultation with the owner Danny. We talked for a while about my strengths, workouts, nutritions and other personal situations. Then that's when the big price came around about the 6 week challenge. I knew there was something behind it cuz like I said it was too good to be true. I told Danny that I didn't have that kind of money. He did give me other options that I was better able to work with. I didn't have any money to be giving out up front But after the conversation I had with Danny, I was convinced and desperate. I had given what I had to schedule a try out. After we have scheduled a time and day. I had to ask Danny about the hand wraps as it was supposed to be free at my consultation. He told me that I would receive it the day I'm scheduled for my tryout. I didn't hear back from him nor a team member for over a week. On the day of my tryout I tried reaching out to inform them I had a family emergency I had to attend to and if I was able to reschedule another day. I still haven't received a call back nor have I received a SMS from the person that was responding to me so quickly to come in for my consultation. I feel very scammed and bribed. And gave out money that I didn't even have. I would recommend for anyone that comes to this place or see's ads about it to pay very close attention because you don't know what you are being...
Read moreAmazing Gym with Incredible Support!
I’ve been a member of this gym for a while now, and I can’t say enough good things about the team here. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported. They genuinely care about helping you reach your goals, and it shows in every aspect of the gym.
A huge shoutout to Loresa, who has been an absolute gem. She’s always there with a smile and the right advice to keep me motivated, and she’s helped me push past limits I didn’t think I could reach. Keith is equally fantastic – his workouts are challenging, but he knows how to tailor them to make sure you’re getting stronger and feeling great.
And, of course, Danny, the owner, has created an amazing environment. He’s super approachable, always encouraging, and truly invested in each member’s success. You can tell he’s put his heart and soul into this place, and it makes all the difference.
And last but not least I don’t want to forget Julian and Dave and who helped with my nutrition goals, and they have been absolutely amazing. Julian is knowledgeable and always provides helpful advice to keep me on track with my goals. However, it’s Dave who truly stands out. He is super supportive, always reaching out to check on me when I don’t show up, and genuinely cares about my progress. Dave feels more like a best friend who pushes me to work hard and never gives up on me, even when I feel like giving up myself. His encouragement and dedication have been a huge motivation, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t have gotten this far without his support.
Thanks to their guidance, I’m closer to my fitness goals than ever before. If you’re looking for a gym that feels like a community and truly helps you on your journey, this is the...
