Questionable exchange policy. My wife and I spent almost $1000 on plants this spring and 3 of the grasses we purchased failed to sprout. Everything else has grown very well. Their return/exchange policy states that you can return dead plants within a year of purchase so long as you have the receipt.
My wife went to exchange the three plants today (total cost of the 3 was ~$100) and was told that because we purchased them during a sales event, we'd have to pay the difference between the retail price and the sale price. Total cost to us was $7.50. No where on the receipt does it say anything about sale items. It does say "store credit will be issued for the amount paid," so maybe that's the hangup. I'd understand this policy if I was getting my money back (which they don't do anyway), but I just wanted to exchange. I don't care about the money, but the woman my wife dealt with wasn't very pleasant and said we could call corporate if we had an issue with the policy. All we wanted to do was exchange plants. Should be a pretty simple transaction. I guess Meadows Farms doesn't think happy customers are worth $7.50.
The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful, so they get...
Read moreI was admittedly a little nervous about waking into the space not knowing a thing a plants, trees, or shrubs. What I did know was that I needed help and oh boy did I receive it! I was greeted in the parking before stepping door inside the door. I was greeted again once inside. Earlier I’d spoken to a gentleman by the name of Greg over the phone and I’m sure I sound like a toddler talking to a professor. He took his time, answered my questions, and helped me pronounce “arborvitae” at least five times! He was just as calm and nice in-person. A few days later I got to chat over the phone with Leslie about my upcoming delivery and she was just as curtesy’s and assuring. The cherry on top was Mike. When he delivered my evergreens and we started chatting it was like talking to an old friend. I knew he had a few more deliveries but he took his time answering follow-up questions I had and making suggestions (at my behest) about what else I could plant in my yard. Delightful and knowledgeable folks all around! 10/10 Highly...
Read moreThis was my second time shopping here and the first time, the staff was very helpful but the second time, the staff was unhelpful and rude. A staff member was ringing up a customer so I patiently waited for her to finish so that I could ask her a question. After standing there for a few minutes, a coworker walked up to her at the same time that the customer was leaving and started chit chatting. Because I’ve been standing there for a while and the original staff member knew that, I said excuse me and I asked her my question. I guess she didn’t like that I was interrupting her chitchat because she gave me barely an answer and had a lot of attitude to go with it. Anyway, I just walked out. I won’t shop at a place where I feel like the staff is doing me a favor by helping me and giving me attitude on top of it...
