After over twenty years of being loyal faithful customers, we do not recommend using Nail South!!!
It is with a sadden heart that I write this review after my husband, and I just received pedicures and manicures (SNS) a few hours ago. Myself, my mother (prior to her death) and my husband have been faithful, loyal patron of Nail South for over two decades. We have referred neighbors, family members and friends to this shop. We were customers when the family business was managed for years by Liza and her husband.
However, I am disgusted with how my husband was talked about and laughed at by the service providers while sleeping in his massage chair after receiving his manicure and pedicure and waiting for my services to be completed.
Although I do not speak your native language, I do understand and can interpret tones, gestures, and dialects. (One of the benefits of having worked as a senior executive for a Japanese company for over twelve years.)
My husband was completely relaxed in the massage chair, including eyes closed and mouth open for a short while. In fact, this was an indication that the services provided were excellent. I was happy to see him relaxed after surviving COVID, burying countless family members and friends and dealing with stresses of work, family, and life.
However, led by the young woman doing my manicure, several service providers joked and laughed amongst themselves in your native language about my husband being asleep! I must say that the young lady that did my husband's manicure did not participate or laugh.
The laughter and joking were NOT good! It was NOT kind! The entire time, those that were participating assumed that no one but themselves understand what was being said. ...
Read moreUpdate - I was highly disappointed during my recent visit to Nail South. I arrived maybe 20 min after opening and they were packed. Understood. Well 3 folks arrived after me, all of whom had appointments and of course, they were all serviced before me. Again, slightly understood, since they had appointments, but I expected somebody to make something shake with me. I later realized the guy sitting next to me had been waiting too and he was sitting in the pedicure chair when I got there!
50 min later somebody came to start on my pedicure. Maybe 30 min after that, somebody came to start on my nails, but because I didn’t know exactly what color I wanted for my ombré effect, she moved on to the next person. Then maybe 20 min later, another tech came to soak my nails…he then moved on to somebody that arrived after me.
Long story short, I was in there for 3 hours. Now I was desperate, because I was going out of town the next day and it didn’t make sense to leave, but looking back, it didn’t make sense to spend my money there either. I asked if I could get a discount for my unbelievably long wait and all they could give me was 10%. 10 measly percent.
After being a regular here for 7 years, I think my time has sadly come to an end.
Old review - I love Nail South! I moved to the GA about 4 years ago and have not strayed away since finding this place. The prices for their services I have found to be quite unbeatable and their customer service is awesome! I typically get SNS and their color selection is out of this world. I haven't seen anything like it! They've done some recent renovations and the place looks amazing. While Nail South is nowhere near my house, I will drive to have my nail services taken care of by them....
Read moreI have been coming here for almost 4 years. My most recent experience, unfortunately left me unsatisfied and upset. I could tell that the nail tech was rushing and she obviously had somewhere to be. The drill hit my skin 4 times, she cut my nails shorter than what I asked for even after starting over. The application of the acrylic was also lumpy. I told her it’s seem like you’re in a hurry, so I’m just going to pay for the application and get it finished somewhere else. She got upset and they refuse to let me leave without paying the full amount for half done nails. I was assured she would take care of me after attempting to leave. The only request I had was to smooth out the lumps in my nails, I asked her prior to the nail polish and after because it was more prominent and she didn’t attempt. She started to argue with me saying she’s been doing nails for 30 years and I was the problem. She ended up cutting my nails off and I went to get serviced down the street. She could’ve been having a bad day but unfortunately she was rude. I never leave reviews but I’ve never had an experience like this at any nail salon. I believe her...
