First time trying this spot out today. I liked it a lot! Friendly employees really holding their own to a very full place. Every indoor table was occupied. Love the outdoor seating right there. It was a gorgeous morning so they had their garage door open; as it was my first time there, I didnāt know any differently, so Iāll be interested to see what itās like when the big door is rolled down. I didnāt give 5 stars because I am still gathering my opinion on a few things. One thing that legitimately bothered me was that their menu was this very small, understated folded booklet that blended into its display stand. I had to get all the way to register before finding out about the menu booklet, which again was pretty small, and the font size was also small. A menu board would be a great addition, and I hope thereās a large font booklet for the visually impaired readers. Perhaps there was a menu board there and I didnāt see it? It seemed to slow up the line with everyone having to get to the counter to learn about where the menu was and then peruse it while others waited in line for me to place my order. Once I found the menu though, I was happy to see so many options. I am so happy I opted for the Avo Egg toast. It was delicious, so freshly flavored with lime in the avocado set on top of the chili sauce spread across the toast. It was also beautifully presented. I never take pics of my food but I just had to today. Iād post it but it looks exactly like the ones the other reviewers posted - so itās consistent! My coffee was great, too. The crowd was predominantly telecommuters and I overheard at least three job interviews and what seemed to be a performance review. It felt like I was in a cool brunch place in Williamsburg. Ice coffee served in a stout Mason jar with a stainless steel straw. I was happy they had a water station. I hope they do well here as itās nice to have a non-chain option here, and itās so well situated and great looking. Worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI loved this shop until... Recently I was at this coffee shop and had a food item which was prepared either poorly or badly on purpose. It nearly made me sick. The only reason I went there is that I had enjoyed it before. I am sorry. If it was not for the fact that part of the food was undercooked and so it could have made me really sick (talk about a fast cure for a bout of unvegan behavior) and a bit of overripe fruit which was actually closer to the side of rotting (making me wonder who they had hired), I would never even write a review. Food quality goes above and beyond every other facet from fancy concocted beverage (hot menu item) to a fancy veneer (exterior is very convincing), I was sitting there eating rotten food. It's a strange thing when you also have to pay for it like you ate a real gourmet meal. I have eaten eggs before and not gotten sick but now I will not be having eggs and my thoughts on the fruit are to skip it unless I prepared it myself. Either someone has played a very nasty trick and has no respect for others (the motto of ATL anyway) or has no idea that I pay and so expect a good meal or item. I think maybe double-checking to see if hired help does understand how to recognize a bad or overripe fruit could be a good beginning but also to manage for bad employees as a result of the things I have come to know about ATL and other places in GA. Thanks, but no thanks. It actually was the worst meal I have ever had but I do not frequent many places so I guess I will tuck that away in my experience set and remember all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt first, I really liked this coffee shop. It had a great atmosphere and the coffee was fantastic. While most of the staff are very nice and the coffee is still very good on my last visit, one staff member was so rude to me that I will not be returning again. I ran into two of my friends at the coffee shop, and said hi, however, I had work to do and wanted to sit at a separate table so I could do my work. However, the person working the kitchen/Bar(the hole in the wall) told me that I can't sit where I wanted to sit because my friends were already sitting at another table and I couldn't sit separately from them because I'd be occupying an extra table. This was extremely rude, unprofessional, and uncalled for. Perhaps if he had explained why, and I understand why, and said it in a nice way, asking me to do so so that he would have more empty places in his coffee shop I would have considered it. But his commanding tone made me very disappointed in this...
