Update - June 18, 2023: New update - this place does not learn
We came in for Father’s Day, and could not have had a worse experience. After being sat (wait time was quoted at 25 min and we were sat after about 30 min), we began to place our drink orders. Three glasses of water plus a glass of Coke Zero, two lemon drop martinis and one jack and Coke with a request for the Coke to be Coke zero. All drinks except the solo glass of Coke Zero were brought to the table and immediately something tasted off with the Jack and Coke. My husband couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but blamed it on possibly the intensity of the Coke syrup changing the flavor of the beverage itself. About 10 minutes later, our server came back to the table to inform us that there was no Coke zero available at this point and asked if my husband would like a different soda. My diabetic husband had finished half of his Jack and coke drink. My husband asked the waiter if there was no Coke Zero, then what was his drink made with. The waiter informed him it was made with regular coke instead without checking with us first. My husband immediately had to give himself emergency insulin to adjust for the fact that he was unknowingly ingesting an obscene amount of sugar. The waiter apologized for the lack of diet soda and went off again to retrieve our entree orders. We ordered two entrées of Parmesan crusted chicken with Caesar salad and mashed potatoes/french fries and one renegade sirloin with sides of salad and baked potato. Our salads came out without further issue, and about 20 minutes after that, we received our entrées. The sirloin came by itself on a plate, no potato in sight. At that point, I asked the waiter What happened to the baked potato, and was informed that a baked potato would take an additional 45 minutes to cook. At this point, I inquired why we were not informed of a delay from the kitchen and was told that this has happened already two other times that evening and there was nothing that could be done. At this point my husband was getting very frustrated and just wanted to eat and leave. He asked for his baked potato to be replaced with an order of mashed potatoes (that he did not eat), and we proceeded with our meal. About halfway through the meal, I realized we’d never been brought our bread for the table. I grab our waiter again and request the complementary bread which took an additional 10 minutes to come out. By the time they reach the table, everyone was more than half done with their food. I asked for the check once our server returned and began signing the merchant copy when it was brought back to me. At this point, I find that my husband’s drink was more than just made wrong in the sense of the soda that was put in. His jack and Coke was in fact made with captain Morgan-a spiced rum that is also loaded with sugar. In essence, Longhorn’s negligence and lack of attention to detail could’ve killed my husband while simultaneously also making sure that his last meal was less than ideal. This was a glaringly horrendous experience, especially for a holiday that was supposed to celebrate my husband. I was instead scrambling all evening to make sure that the meal could in some way be salvaged. Do better Longhorn
I have had to correct my previous review because of the last three visits I made to this location. Between long waits (between 30-45 minutes passed quoted times on a weekday) to served steaks that were cold after being "re-fired" twice, to incorrect appetizer orders coming to the table and then ultimately coming out at the same time as the entrees. Even after speaking to the manager, not only were issues not solved but offers to compensate for issues were not even presented. It's disheartening considering how much I enjoy this franchise but I would rather drive further or just go to Outback than deal with these situations regularly when out...
Read moreAfter a training, class two coworkers and I went to LongHorn on Druid Hills. We were seated, Andrew took our drink order and we were off to a good start. Little did we know that was as good as it was going to get. Andrew brought us some bread, but no plates on which to place it. He said none were clean. We never received a plate for our bread for the entire meal. We should have known then to pay for our drinks and go. We had had a great training class and we just wanted some food and good conversation before going to the job. Our orders came and one of the orders was incorrect. He ordered chicken and strawberry salad but received steak. He asked Andrew to remove the steak and bring him chicken. Okay, he received his food. My New York Strip was like cutting leather and harder to chew. I ate the Brussel sprouts (really good) and baked potatoe. Now, this is when our world began to tilt sideways. I paid for my meal and one of my coworkers. The other coworker paid for his. Both of us gave Andrew our debit card. BIG MISTAKE. He returned with charges on our cards that did not match what we ordered. We were both overcharged. He said okay give me your receipts and the card you used and I will fix it. WRONG. Another incorrect charge that was more than the food we ordered, once again. He said I know what I did wrong, I can fix it. I said, "I am not giving you my debit card again. Just reverse both inaccurate charges (totalling over $100) and I will give you my credit card for the charges. He said the reversal would be instantaneous. NOPE. Only the $73.90 was reversed. When I looked on my bank app, the $36.69 remained. My co worker asked for the manager since he was charged $69 and $90 and neither was reversed. The manager comes and says the reversal is not instantaneous. She brought me a voided receipt for the $73.90 charges. I told her more than once there was another charge that needed to be reversed. It fell on deaf ears. She said, " I am here to determine who ordered what to charge you accurately." I was flabbergasted. You are not here to tell us that this "meal" is complimentary after you have kept us here over an hour with these screw ups? You really think I am going to give you another card to mess up? When you provide me with a voided receipt for the $36.69, maybe then we can talk about the order. She acted like we were there trying to get a free meal. She acted like the service was great, my card was not incorrectly charged twice. Apparently, we all make more than enough to pay for that lunch since we paid for it twice at an outrageous price! I called my bank who verified there was not a pending reversal for the $36.69. The manager assured me it was input but no receipt printed for that reversal. The stories became comical when they attempted to explain why my coworker and I could not get a reversal receipt for the pending transactions The supervisor went to the back. Andrew went to the back. Both returned at different times with different stories. The manager said surely you have to get back to work and just call to speak to her manager. And by the way she is out until Saturday. Oh, I forgot to add that she gave us a card for a free appetizer or dessert. LAUGHABLE. Surely she cannot believe that I will ever darken the doorstep of a LongHorn ever again. I said, "No, we do not have to get back to work. We can stay until this issue is resolved." Needless to say, the issue was not resolved. Two hours later we were still in the same place, no reversal, no reversal receipt. We did leave with a 'complimentary' meal and a card with a phone number to the corporate office. The bank said I could not dispute a pending charge, but once it posted, they could get involved. Worst lunch ever after such a...
Read moreTHE WORST DINE IN EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Trust me it’s worth reading!!! We recently dined in at the North Druid Hills location we get here around 12:15 pm for lunch. I go inside to grab a table while my sister and nephew were parking. I was seated immediately, however it took 20 minutes to get acknowledged by the waiter I give a little grace there. However, waitress finally comes over ask us for drink orders. We put in our drink orders, appetizers, and my nephews kids meal. Another 15 minutes pass, we get our water and appetizers we were starving. So we were eating our appetizers we got spinach dip, and couldn’t finish it we ask for a to go container for it. The waitress just brought us lids. We are like what are we supposed to do with just lids? Although the waitress was not rude, she was extremely slow, forgetful, and not attentive to us at all. I mean simple things we requested she would not get it. I mean where did she get her training from? She was a black girl with braids. It took for me to ask another waitress for things. So a whole hour and a half pass by and we are like where is my nephews food, mind you he only had chicken tenders and broccoli which doesn’t take long at all and we put that in with appetizers. When we asked the waitress for his food her response was “our system is down so we have to write the orders by paper” but we never actually saw her write anything. So another 45 minutes pass by nephew still doesn’t have his food and we don’t have our food. After another 20 minutes we were done with this place! I had to get up go find another waitress tell her to bring us the tickets for the appetizer and send a manager to our table. So what’s funny is when I made that request, she immediately brought the tickets out for the appetizer with a quickness. However, every other request she didn’t deliver we were heated atp. I tell her to please send her manager over. She says she told the manager to come by. So another hour goes by no manager. I ask a male waitress to please get a manager to our table immediately. We explained to him what happened and how we never got our food, because the waitress failed to put in our orders. He asked what did my nephew have and brought out the chicken tenders and broccoli. Another party also seated in her section as well requested the manager and were there before us, they got tired of waiting and left because the manager did not come. Another 45 mins pass we call corporate while in the restaurant and she still didn’t come. Then while I was on the phone with corporate manager finally comes to the table. I guess they saw we were not going to give up and leave after purposely ignoring us. Waitress comes back to the table three or four times asking us do we need to go containers for food that she never brought us. Manager informed us she had not been notified of our complaints and request to speak with her. She tells us she backs there cooking and all these excuses. The restaurant was not that busy either. She gave us our food and we left the restaurant close to 4 pm. NEVER COMING BACK TO...
