I've done business here about four or five times over the course of the past 7 - 8 yrs... They do have a couple of employees that I like quite a bit but the main guy who manages the show is very unlikeable.the reasons I say this are as follows....
120% high strung at all tmes, so if you don't already know him that way and have some deal going(for him ofcorse-always massively to his advantage), play cool. get ur item out. and domt return. I make good money so this example wasn't going to make me cause a scene over a measley 300 bucks or so, but, he apparently realized I pawned an item to him about the time it had a large rebate going on(~$90). he gave me a good deal over the phone to his rep. (let's be honest here- good deal by pawnshop standards). HOWEVERS.....It became pretty obvious that the deal was no longer so fruitful or appealing when he looked further into it and noticed the rebate has to be issued to the original owner(he cant fraudulently claim he was the original because well.... he wasnt.)
instead of doing the right thing, saying "darn, let's just keep it rolling no shady business"... I CALLED UP 3 OR 4 TIMES nearing the due date to pick up my item, and atleast half the times another rep picked up "claiming I'll go get (whatever his name is, the singer from drowning pool)." just to have this individual return to the phone and ha g up on me. after this happened a few times (and especially after one time where I overheard him saying "DON'T pick up screw that guy" "... keep in mind I've earned your business an ass ton of money ya dingus....
essentially got bullied out of receiving my item back because he can control the front door from behind the register.(I get it, but it's abused).
since then, I've sold over 10k in firearms between 3 other shops that make this one look like a complete joke. it just so happens to have the saving grace of being plotted in the middle of the TRIANGLE of worst pawn ships in the state. so no it's really not that good.
finally, I've yet to come across a siruationna situation where I sold or pawned an item and said to myself, "was I'm glad I went to such a great and caring place". it was more like "thank God this place is slightly less garbage than the pawn stores around it".
if you can drive go to a legit shop like the one in dhalonega or Gainesville. even a few decent ones...
Read moreI was in a tight spot with money. So I decided to sell some items to pawn shops. I went to multiple pawn shops and they were either dirty or very depressing. Or the pawn shop was trying to pull a fast one and make a profit out of my stuff for a cheaper price. The last pawn shop I went to was the Norcross pawn shop. I don’t normally write reviews, but these people were so welcoming and they were patient with me. I was already in a bad place with having to sell my personal items, but they were so supportive about it. Out of all the pawn shops I went to their pawn shop was the only one that was clean and organized and played music. I was in a way better mood . And the staff just wow they are hilarious for one and just so welcoming I can not stress that enough. I can guarantee you if you ever are in a situation where you need money fast and you want the money your items are worth. Then go to Norcross pawn shop I promise you they will do right by you. By the way my name is Sarah I do not know why it says Bonghee song...
Read moreLet me tell you that I LOVED it here. I was greeted by one of the store members with smile and conversation, and I was offered a fair price to sell my Sccy towards getting a new handgun. Their selection of firearms are fairly priced for the pandemic situation, and everything sold in the store is a STEAL.
The owner of the store took good care of me and went up and beyond to complete my transaction and provided me with a sweet gun case when a box for the original firearm was not available. Way better than those ripoffs at Arrowhead Pawn; I was consulted on different firearms and was treated fairly, and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable of every product in the store. This will be my default and primary source for good steals whenever I get the money and opportunity to.
And to the owner, thank you for your southern hospitality, and I'm happy to shop from an amazing and fair person like yourself, and I pray your business grows and...
