Stopped by to buy a drill. Went in, found the drill I wanted. Waited a while and asked to 2 salesmen if they could unlock the shelf door to obtain the new drill. One said the doors are locked and asked the other if he would get the key from the front counter. Waited for the salesman to comeback with key awhile, then he shows up and gives another shopper a price a on an item. No key, the two salesmen try to figure out why he didn't get the key. I don't think he remembered by the look on his face. But he went back to the front counter and obtained the electronic key while we waited again. Finally got the drill and the salesman said he had to carry it to the front counter . We went to the front counters, there's two cashiers, one helping a customer, the other talking to another sales guy or manager. My drill was placed behind the busy cashier and was told she would check me out. The guy yhat helped me went and started talking to the other cashier and mamager guy. So I wait and wait, while the other cashier and all three sale men talk behind the front cashiers counter. I'm waiting, Then the busy cashier asks me if I need some help. I said yes I want to buy the drill behind her on the counter with money in hand. She grabbed the new drill and took it to the other cashiers counter and said she would check me out. The cashier walked back to her register to finishing help her customer. Then the original salesman that said the busy cashier would help me, picked the drill up and said what's this doing here and carried it back to the busy cashier counter. Everyone went back to talking except the one busy cashier. I waited and waited, figured they didn't want my money so, I walked out and not one person asked me anything. They stopped talking and watched me walk out. What a messed up organization. Customer service is not a priority for them. I will not do business with...
Read moreBought a Remington Pole Pruner 2 weeks ago. Wasn't that impressed with the power or the cut. I trimmed 2 crepe myrtles. After that I decided I would rather buy a better quality one. So I drained the gas/oil and cleaned it up then boxed it up with everything in perfect condition just as I bought it. I walked in with the box and receipt and the cashier stares at me and the box.....I told her I'd like to return this. She asked "why?" In a not so nice way. I said it doesn't have enough power and and the chain doesn't have a clean cut. She calls a manager, he comes over, same conversation. He's not the friendliest guy either and looks around in the box and said "did you use it" I said of course.....I trimmed 2 crepes, it's not powerful and would like to return it. He says fine, but there is a 20% re-stocking fee because I can't sell this as new. So I asked, how am I suppose to know if I like the product unless I try it out? He didn't answer me. I received my refund -20% re-stocking fee. Their website states a 15% fee. AND Gas and diesel-powered products cannot be returned to Northern once they have been gassed or oiled. If they have been gassed or oiled they need to be taken to an authorized service center for repair which may be covered under warranty. Read moreWell it seems like big companies just don’t care about their customers! Especially when they carry a product they can’t service. I have had a demo saw there for over six months. First time they charged me for repair they did not fix. I brought it back the next day and told them that the problem still existed, and it was not fixed. They said they would look into it further. It’s now been over six months. I’ve been calling and can never get a hold of the technician or he’s off for the day. at least that’s what they say, whoever answers the phone up front. Seems like everyone there is just in it for a paycheck. No customer care these days or team leadership. This intern makes me question the management at that store. What are you guys doing? They obviously need help in the service department, fix it or get them more help! All you’re doing is upsetting everybody who depends on the equipment needed for work! What is northern tool going to do about it? Absolutely nothing! I’ll be surprised if I even get a comment or a reply.
