This is the worst Chuck E Cheese in the area. We have the summer fun pass, so we’ve gone to 4 other locations this summer quite frequently. However, I’ve only been able to tolerate going to this Stafford location a handful of times. Mostly, only because my kids saw some reward they wanted, that they didn’t see at the other locations.
The games here frequently don’t actually give out the tickets it says you won! The game might read “You’ve won 10 tickets”, but if you watch the game pad where you scan your card, you don’t always get the “tickets”. If you do get the tickets, you can see the numbers go up on the pad, one by one, at the end of (or sometimes during) your game play. If you don’t, nothing happens on the swiping screen.
There’s been many times at this Stafford location that my kids get the big ticket bonuses, or rack up lots of tickets simply by using a lot of their points. They end up super excited and proud of themselves. However, they don’t end up actually getting the tickets on the card, and it just says __ tickets owed” on the game machine or just says “ticket error” and the amount they were supposed to get. So it’s disappointing for the kids, and you can’t help but end up feeling scammed! It really is hit or miss. You never know if you’re actually going to get the tickets you’ve won. And it’s frustrating!
There is not enough game maintenance going on at this location. Usually, I see a game maintenance person at the other locations, almost every time I visit. At this location, today might have been the first time I’ve seen a game maintenance person working.
Today, for the first time, I actually went through the trouble of getting help. First, I contacted the young man working at the entrance. I told him the problem, and he actually said to me “You know, the tickets are put on the cards digitally”… Seriously? I’ve been to CEC more than 30 times, and his comment was just downright condescending, insulting and presumptuous. At least, he helped by going to get the game maintenance guy. Also, I didn’t appreciate his obvious attitude (through his facial expressions) when we were leaving, even though I was polite and said thank you.
The maintenance guy was also full of attitude, making it obvious he didn’t really want to help or even be at work. He actually walked off on me when I was asking him a question about another game machine I had been playing on that owed me 80 tickets. There were several other machines that didn’t give us tickets. I didn’t even bother getting any help for it at first, but then it happened to my son on another machine. There was a game that my son won two 50 ticket bonuses on. The game only added the last round’s 9 additional tickets for a total of “109 tickets owed”. It continued to say that on the machine, and didn’t give out the tickets on the card. It also didn’t give out all the additional tickets my son had won after each round (each time confirmed by the game), which would have added up to quite a lot! I had watched the game pad for a while, as my son was playing. My son had swiped many credits from the beginning, so we were stuck at that machine, even though it was obvious he wasn’t getting any of the tickets he won.
I told the maintenance guy the problem very politely and he reset the machine, but my son still didn’t end up getting the tickets. He asked for the game card. Then, he took it without any explanation and just walked off, which felt very rude. He came back saying he added back 30 points to the card - handing it off without looking at me. When my son went to another game and swiped, we saw the balance and there wasn’t even the additional 30 game points he claimed he added! With his attitude, it seemed he just said he gave us 30 points so he wouldn’t have to deal with it anymore.
I really do have mixed feelings about this place. Sometimes, I get really friendly, polite, and thoughtful service, and at other times, I get the exact opposite! But this one star is for our frustrating experience today with service, and for the...
Read moreI love to take my son to Chuckie Cheese just because it’s a fun place for a kid and affordable. Yesterday I brung my 8 year old to this location and the experience just was horrible. From the moment I walked you the cashier (Nadia had a horrible attitude it immediately changed my energy but I tried not to let it bother me I got my son play time plus a person pizza and us drinks. Have most of all the play time was up around 30 minutes I went to counter nd let her know I wasn’t please with the wait if I knew it would have taken that long I would have gotten a medium. I went ahead and changed it and payed the difference that when the manger stepped in to assist with that the manager was a older woman and (Nadia) the cashier continued to have a attitude with her now it made me very uncomfortable watch her disrespect her manager in that way. Once the pizza come it was perfect and hot my my son ate and played a little longer when it was time to go we went to ticket counter where (Nadia) swiped my son card look at us and said “ He only has 50 Points” I tried to dismiss the statement but couldn’t as I found it extremely disrespectful saying words like that to a 8 year old are hurtful as they are there to have fun and if if they didn’t earn a lot of points shouldn’t be told that. I explained to her how her statement was inappropriate and she just rolled her eyes and brushed it off. Also when we were leaving out no one was at the door to check our wrist we just walked out and left which was disappointing because I always loved that they had security policies for matching parent wrist to child’s Just wanted to share this experience so that the staff could do...
Read moreThe staff was wonderful. The hostess was very polite and helpful. We booked a birthday party for my granddaughter. The birthday girl was very disappointed when her cake came out and in her words "it's disgusting". The cakes we ordered were 2 round hello kitty. What she got was a rectangular sprinkle cake. The cake looked like it was homemade The frosting was spread out in lumps and sprinkled to cover up the ugly job that was done. My 15 year old is a self learning baker that could of done a better job. The hostess said they didn't have the stickers for the cake. My opinion is they should have reached out and told me this before her party so I could of made other arrangements. Then to add insult to injury, they gave us 2 tables one for the children and one for adults. Later the party on the next table wanted more space so they moved our things to the children's table and gave them our table and told us oh just take the table on the other side if you need it. But that table later got used for another party. These parties are not cheap. We paid a lot of money so the children could have a good time and good food. The kids enjoyed the games but my child's cake was ridiculous and then because another party throws a temper tantrum we're punished and reduced to one table when we paid for the services just like they did. The only good thing about this party was the games and Chuck E Cheese mingling with the children. But if you you want your child to enjoy their party bring your cake and decorations from outside services because this restaurant did a lame job for the money...
