Need Better Management. I have visited this Office Depot location several times and the service is consistently bad. It's as if the staff don't know when customers are in the store....I think we are imaginary. I have never had anyone offer me assistance, I normally wander around trying to figure out which register to check out at because none are staffed. When I randomly select one, no one ever approaches me to assist with the checkout....I normally have to track down one of the dazed and confused employees and ask them if they can send someone to check me out...and the answer is usually..."Oh sure, I'll be right there". If this happened occasionally, I could kinda look past it, but there is not 1 time I have visited this store and had anyone attempt to assist me without seeking them out first. I am waiting for this location to go out of business. With this type of service, I can see why stores are shuttering. My advice to this location: When you get a customer, pretend you are happy they're shopping in your store, welcome them, offer assistance, thank them for shopping with you..so they come back. That creates job stability. Otherwise, when customers visit your store, rather than pretend they aren't there....just turn the lights off and lock the doors, that way we can't get in and you don't...
Read moreI want to give a quick shout to Chris and LaBresha in the printing department. These ladies totally rock! I had some issues with selecting the right size and type of paper for my printout. They were able to help me figure out the right size, type and where to locate the style that I was looking for.
In between that time I jammed up two of the printers and Chris had to come to my rescue, she did it with a smile. LaBresha checked me out, and made sure that printout was cut to the appropriate size. I know these ladies were simply doing their jobs. However, there is a big difference in doing your job and going above and beyond to make a customer experience a fun and memorable one. Because what these nice young ladies didn't know is that I am currently grieving the loss of very close loved one, so that laugh was more than just a laugh to me.
It is a memory that I will always cherish, because it came at such a tragic moment in my life. Kudos to you lovely ladies. Give them a raise please! It pays to smile and be polite to one another as you never know what the other person is going through, and you could bring the sunshine to someone's darkness.
PS.
I hope I was able to bring some balance to those scales of...
Read moreThis is a store I do not ever plan on returning to again. I came in looking to buy an office chair and when I arrived at the chair section it looked as though a tornado came through. Everything was a mess and disorganized with boxes everywhere and various papers and supplies on the floor and on the chairs. It was hard to sit in any chair to see comfort level because over half had heavy boxes and trash on the seats. At no point did an employee come over and offer assistance. I picked out a chair and made my way to the register... Well, what I thought was a register. They have about 3 or 4 different counters that look like they can be check out lanes but none were marked and I didn't know where to go. No employee was visible. Finally I spotted an employee and asked about getting checked out and his response was "she is supposed to be doing it" while he was turning and walking away so I didn't get to hear all he was saying. So I just stood at a counter till finally a girl came and rung up my chair. This place needs a serious make over or else it...
