Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Fresno

Don't waste your time and money during this pandemic! We placed a to go order at 7:36 pm. The employee that answered the phone said it wouldn't be ready until 8:35. I thought that was ridiculous, but decided to keep the order in order to support this OG during this pandemic. We get there at 8:22, and they said that it wasn't ready but should be at 8:35 as they had originally said. I checked on it again at 8:46, and they could not give me an update on my order and kept telling me it'll be out soon. I was 1 of 3 cars sitting outside waiting for an order. In the first 25 minutes I was out there waiting, after the already 1 hour wait time from the time you placed your order, an employee only came out once to help one of the cars that was there. I called again at 8:50 and asked for a manager. I was on hold for 5 minutes. Then Roxanne, the manager on duty finally answered and seemed annoyed to have to deal with me. I was polite. I explained to her the situation and asked her to check on my order since I had already been waiting 30 minutes and needed to call it a night if it wasn't ready. She was extremely unhelpful. So I asked if they were short-staffed in order to try to understand the possible reason for this awfully unorganized food service, but she answered me in a happy voice that they were fully staffed but were extremely busy with the 3 cars in to go and the 3 cars parked out in front of the restaurant. She then told me my food will be out shortly and for me to have a nice day in a very sarcastic tone. Needless to say I will report this awful service to the GM Noel tomorrow! My family and I went to the Olive Garden at the Pearland location . At first, the hostesses were rude to us. We asked for a large booth to eat comfortably. They refused to accommodate our request and we asked for a manager. The manager okayed our request and we waited a half our to be seated. It took another 15 minutes to get drinks and a menu. Poor waitress seemed to be the only person working since we saw 4 waiters and waitresses talking and walking around. Once we ordered, our food came out within 10 minutes. Great we thought!!! When I took a bite out of lasagne it was cold in the middle. The plate was hot but the middle parts of the food was either cold or lukewarm; way below food preparation practices to minimize or eliminate the chances of foodborne illnesses. My wife's plate was also cold along with my daughters fettuccini. In fact, the fettuccini was rubbery, elastic feeling. I reported all this to the manager. He seemed genuinely concerned but not surprised. Even the waitress was shaking her and agreed with us. She claim that this has been happening all week. The waitress took back all the order and instructed to have it all redone again. Another 15 minutes go by and the food is finally out again. It's hot and looks fresh. Unfortunately, this time my wife's first bite lands her a hair!!! We called the manager and reported what we found. I requested the check and he told us not to worry. I did however inform him that if anyone in my family gets sick he'll be hearing from me immediately. As soon as we got home, my wife vomited and is reporting discomfort in her stomach. First time at this location, I knew Olive Garden went downhill but man ....they were horrible!!! First off got a huge side salad with one plate, theur were 3 of us. So breadsticks and salad came with no plates but the one I had for my salad! I had to ask for napkins and small plates so my kids wouldn't have to continue using the my only napkin as a placemat. The food took super long to come out, when we received it my daughters both complained theirs was cold, so was mine! One of my daughters had an ice cold noodle or two mixed in with her not even warm spaghetti. The food seemed to have no good flavor. We didn't get anything to dip our breadsticks in, although the table next to us with a different server got offered/brought butter for dipping!!! I'd stick with Italiano's! Way better chicken marsala their! Here they dump a can of cream of mushroom and call it good! Seemed to me the food was taken out of freezer and nuked in microwave! Disgusting. Big waste of money for my daughters bday dinner tonight. I still tipped over 21% because I've been a waitress before, I know its a crappy job! But I am tired of getting prejudged then given crappy service thinking I'm a bad tipper when it's really the other way around. From now in my tips will match servers energy, no more of these games! Smh. I'd never recommend this place! They will probably close down soon.....oh and I ordered one of their specialty drinks with Titos. I usually feel one drink being that I never drink.....theirs no way my drink had a shot in it let alone any...
