A Stay That Felt Like Coming Home – Residence Inn Pearland
From the moment I stepped into the Residence Inn by Marriott Pearland, I knew I was in good hands. Darius greeted me almost immediately, even while assisting another guest. He made sure I felt seen, welcomed, and valued. That kind of attentiveness set the tone for the entire stay.
Shortly after settling into my room, I encountered a few technical and connection challenges. What could have been a frustrating hiccup turned into a masterclass in hospitality, thanks to the relentless efforts of both Darius and Shantale. They worked with genuine care and urgency to resolve the issue, never once making me feel like a burden. Their synergy as a team was undeniable, and their commitment to excellence was evident in every interaction.
I wasn’t treated like just another Marriott member; I was treated like family. That distinction matters. It’s rare to find a team that so clearly embodies the values Marriott claims to uphold. Darius and Shantale are not just employees; they are brand ambassadors in the truest sense. If Marriott is looking to elevate its guest experience, they need look no further than this Pearland duo.
This will be the only place I stay when visiting the Pearland area moving forward. Thank you, Darius and Shantale, for transforming a temporary stay into something deeply personal and memorable. You’ve set a standard that even some of your downtown Houston counterparts could learn from.
See you soon and next time, I’ll be bringing friends who deserve to experience this kind of...
Read moreI was looking forward to staying at this hotel as it is brand new. It is nice place overall, but a couple of things that go to show that newer is not always better. As usual I will list the PROS and CONS.||PROS:|1. As stated brand new, everything clean and bright.|2. Very large one bedroom suite, usual Residence Inn furnishings.|3. Free internet|4. Free parking|5. Good location, isolated but relatively close to freeway, restaurants, etc.|6. Friendly staff, especially Nathaniel at front desk who was very friendly.|7. Typical Residence inn breakfast, eggs, bacon or sausage, waffle maker etc.||CONS:|1. Bizarre lighting in the rooms. Two lamps hang down in the kitchen area much lower than needed. After bumping my head numerous times, I had to move the kitchen table to avoid them. Very poor design.|2. Washers and dryers. A ridiculously hard automated system that requires you to download an app, which asks a staggering amount of questions, and requires a minimum payment just to activate. It literally took me 15 minutes to set up just to wash a load of laundry.|3. While the gym was decent, a Peloton Bike would have been great. Most new Marriott's have added this feature, it would have been nice...
Read moreWhat a great experience we had at this hotel! Recently visited for a family birthday and the customer service from the very beginning was outstanding. Everyone was kind, receptive and made us feel welcomed in the spaces. The suite was beautiful with stunning appliances, full kitchens, and housekeeping did an amazing job. Great conversation and service at the bartender. Great amenities and price - as a Marriott Bonvoy member, I’d gladly recommend this brand new hotel due its services, amenities, value, and location (right next to Pearland...
