It is now 11/6 and I have not received a refund that they said would and did happen on 10/19. Do not buy from this place. I am now having to jump through hoops to get my money back and repair my credit. It is all comical since they called me a liar and yet they lied about cancelling my order and giving my money back.
Whatever you do, DO NOT buy furniture from this place or their sister store Furniture Gallery. The owner just called me and called me a liar and told me we don't deal with liars before telling me they will be refunding all my money, then hung up on me.
We bought a couch on 9/1. We liked the couch, but wanted it in a different color. They showed us the catalog with another color. We checked that paperwork multiple times and asked about the color being different. I guess during their haste of trying to leave that night they made a mistake with the financing instead of 18 months which they agreed upon they put 12 months. We had to come back a week later to sign the paperwork over again, they told me that they would have it all ready but I spent a good 30 minutes or more in the store waiting that day. At this point no one had given me a delivery window yet, so I inquired about it again because usually furniture stores give you a round about window. They just said someone would call me when it comes in. I called the store multiple times to find out about a delivery date. Fast forward to the week of 10/15 or 10/16 someone calls me (this is after I called them that Monday inquiring about it again) and asks about a good day to deliver. I decide on a delivery date of 10/19. That day I pay the people who are bringing the furniture to take away the old furniture. They disassembled it and took it out before bringing the new furniture up. When they start to bring the new furniture up I immediately notice it is the color of the one at the store and not a darker color like we wanted and were told multiple times we are getting. So now we are left with no couch. When the store opened I call them, the lady asks me why I didn't just keep the furniture they had until the new one came in and I said I didn't even know that was an option. So then she says someone is going to call me back but sounded like she wasn't sure when. So I send my partner to the store and she spent over an hour there trying to figure out the situation. Apparently that couch doesn't come in a darker color, not sure what we saw in that catalog that day. She was apparently smiling and really friendly, which is part of being a decent human while finding a new couch. So since she was a decent human being and accepted that we are in this they used this against me when I tried to call talking about how I was dissatisfied I was with this whole situation and how I was upset that they couldn't even bring us a loaner couch today. So he called the store and talked to the employees who I guess said she was completely happy when she walked out of there. Just because someone is smiling doesn't equate to being happy. So he called me back accusing me of being a liar, and then asked if I was calling his employee a liar, then stated we don't do business with liars I am canceling your order and giving you all your money back. I decided to go there to get cancelation paperwork. I was so upset I was crying. All i wanted was my furniture and nothing I did warranted the response the owner gave to me. Even his own employees stated he was a hot head and that is why he needs to let go and let them do the sales. Everything was going fine until the manager called the owner. Next thing I know I am being asked to leave the store and told if we don't the police will be called. I have yet to receive any cancellation paperwork, a refund on my account, or anything else. Don't do it. Don't go through this furniture place the owner is a nut job who obviously shouldn't be in sales. I would never treat people this way, but who knows maybe it's because I am a woman with another woman or because 3 out of 4 of us were black, so maybe he just targeted us for...

We ordered a couch and loveseat totaling over $5600 back on September 1st in chocolate and verified several times that the color was correct. Here we are, October 19th and theyâre delivering the wrong couch. Theyâve already taken our couch away and we paid them to do so. We were told to expect a janky loaner couch. My partner was told in store to expect it asap but they couldnât even give them an estimate of when the loaner couch would even come. So, upon hearing this, I called the store to civilly let them know that I was very dissatisfied with everything happening and if I could get an estimate of when at least the loaner couch would arrive that they already had on the floor that they were willing to part with. I was told Monday. That was the end of the convo from the Owner, Mike. A few min later, he called me back accusing me of being a liar because heâd heard from his employee that my partner was happy and satisfied with the temporary solution and claimed they said they didnât care how long it would take for the couches to get there which was a bold faced lie as that was never said. Then, when my partner had a rebuttal, Mike then asked if I was calling his employee a liar, then stated we don't do business with liars I am canceling your order and giving you all your money back. The entire phone conversation he was rude, condescending, and talked over us. He also hung up on us twice. This owner and his employees obviously shouldn't be in sales.
We then stopped back by the store in order to receive paperwork of this unauthorized cancellation or our furniture⌠the two managers (Jeff & Tina) said theyâd have to reach out to the owner, Mike, and get back to us. After waiting around for another 45min, Jeff came back and said the owner is adamant about canceling the sale and would email paperwork that shows the cancellation and that weâd be issued a full refund. We asked that he email or fax the paperwork immediately since the trust was damaged for this transaction and they keep saying theyâll get back to us about stuff yet never do. Jeff then proceeded to raise his voice and tell us that they did not have the paperwork and that weâd have to wait and that we needed to get out of the store or theyâd call the police.
We would never treat people this way and were understanding that they made a mistake about the color but wanted to express our unhappiness with the way it was being handled and the timeliness of their communication as it was like pulling henâs teeth to get any answers about anything from the very beginning. When we initially inquired what the name of the owner is, they wouldnât even give us his name and claimed theyâd need to get back to us and see if they could give us that information as well which of course, they didnât.
We initially entered this store because they claim to be having a going out of business sale but were told recently by a neighbor that they had a going out of business sale 2yrs ago but never went out of business so that itâs likely a sales tactic.
We still have not received a refund or any paperwork stating weâd receive one without penalty etc. The refund will not fix the inconvenience or the fact that we paid them to take our couches away and are now couchless, and just outright cruelty in which we were dealt with. They pretend as if they make deals with you to earn your business and trust, they tell you a different story each time you call to follow up on your orders , or say they will call you back then never do. After having enough I went in person when my delivery was supposed to arrive and wasnât on the truck to hear that no one there could issue me a refund on my purchase from 2 months ago and that there was no actual manager as they did not have one. I was also told by my original sales representative (blonde woman 50s raspy vocals) that she didnât blame me and that today 09/09/2023 Saturday was her last day there. I explained if I could not be issued my full refund , I would be taking legal action as well as filing a complaint with the better business bureau. She asked âwhy cause you didnât get your stuff?â Yes!! Thatâs how this works. I pay for a product, you provide the product. After doing more homework and asking questions to get assistance I discovered my items were not even ordered or shipped and I was told if I wanted to be refunded there would be a 20% restocking fee? Restocking fee on an item they never ordered or shipped? Are you serious? As a professional establishment in Anne Arundle County you would think there would be more professionalism and courtesy. As a result I will be steering clear of every other branch and location this company has in place as they are untrustworthy and deceptive in their sales tactics and time frame on delivery. It seems as if they have 20 different âwarehousesâ in which their items are stored. I was told my dining set was coming from a different warehouse each time I followed up with them.
I highly recommend steering clear of this establishment as it is very shady and no one ever seems to know what is going on all while they pretend to make deals with you and take your hard earned money.
Update 10/19/2024 Recently I see they are âclosing businessâ I warned them if they continued their unethical business practices this day would come. They laughed me out of the store when I demanded my refund after never receiving the items I purchased in full. You were warned I was not the person you wanted to mess with as I have many connections and contacts with the better business bureau.
