Went in to get boots, bindings and a snowboard for my nephew who is tall and pretty big. Had two guys helping us at the same time offering options and helping us learn what we needed. They showed ua plenty of stuff in different price ranges, explained to us the important stuff and stuff we could get by with. they helped my nephew try on multiple pairs of boots and made sure he was 100% comfortable with the purchase. They even took bindings off of the board we wanted and replaced them with the bindings my nephew wanted.
I honestly didnt know how much this stuff would cost in an actual store since I only bought 2nd hand off of different sites from private party. It seemed a little expensive but when I got home I looked up all of the stuff to price check and we actually got a really fair price. $506 out the door for a newish board, almost brand new BOA boots, and two pairs of step in bindings. This did include a HUGE military discount they were more than happy to offer.
This is a real throw back store to when I was a kid and there were “mom and pop” skateboard shops everywhere. I honestly felt like I was in there with friends helping me pick stuff out. The staff was just a cool group of guys who really seem to enjoy what they were doing and really want to grow the sport.
Dont get me started on the skateboard shop inside. There were awesome old vintage decks, longboards, penny boards, trucks, wheels, bearings, stickers, etc and all of that was a fair price too. They received new items while I was there and the guys seemed just as excited as I was to see the new decks they got in. Some super cool throw back Powell stuff there that brought back lots of memories.
This place gets an A+ and 5 stars from me and I will 100% go back here when I am ready to upgrade....
Read moreI don't even know where to begin, I've been snowboarding for 2 seasons now and I always tried to figure out which length and stance would be best for me, every time I would rent boards getting long cambers or short for more control and park, needless to say it was complicated. I tried Craigslist and offer up but it always just seemed very off putting, I mean it's a flip of a coin and the boards looked cracked or there was always something fishy. One day I stumbled upon Sin City Snowboards and I had to check it out I mean there are hardly any snowboarding in Vegas to begin with figured why not. It was exactly what I was looking for Glenn is the man!! He approached my friend and I and just like that began sizing us up and asking us questions about how we ride, stance, skill level, and just pretty much he took the hassle of all this confusion and gave me a peace of mind, he let me try on boots, board, binding, the works and gave me suggestions and aesthetic appeal of the color and feel of of which one I was looking for. At the end of the day (and I did take a while to decide) he got me the perfect board! Boots that fit like a glove, bindings to really give me the perfect carve, and to top it all off the aesthetics of the combo he picked out for me was dead on!! I am very satisfied and I'm glad I went here instead of anywhere, he reassured me that if any problems and what not I can gladly return and there won't be hassle, but with what I got I will be a returning costumer but not for returns but for more gear and apperal I will want in the future, thanks again Glenn...
Read moreI can not say enough good about my experience with Sin City snow boards. First off- the selection of boards, bindings, and boots is incredible. You can tell they are meticulously selective of the boards and gear they bring into their shop. Glenn, the owner, was unbelievably helpful kind and patient during my board buying process. The customer service provided is outstanding. I bought everything I needed from Sin City Snowboards. Glenn set me up with an absolutely beautiful 2016 burton lipstick with EST lexa bindings. Both in excellent/ like (brand) new condition. I also got a pair of DC boots, burton pants, and a billabong jacket! (Also in mint condition) To top it all off I got a brand new burton board bag.
I left the shop over the moon excited and super proud of my new set up. I can't thank Sin City snowboards enough for the amount of time they took to find the perfect fit for me while catering to my needs. It is evident that Glenn has a passion for the sport, and for sharing it with others. From here on out, my family will be doing the rest of our snowboard and gear shopping with Glenn. I will continue to spread the word about this fabulous snowboarding business. It was such a pleasant shopping experience. SHOP LOCAL and Support small business. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Sin City...
