I started in Home Depot , I needed to find a screw for my purse that for some reason has hardware. In Home Depot the rep that I went to advised me they did not have a screw that little and recommended Skycraft. Growing up in Winter Park myself I had been to this location several times but only with my parents , the rep there measured the screw and found me the closest to it. The best part is the screws were .15 cents a doz , and I did not want to put on my card so when the cashier saw that I was only getting 3 she wouldn't even take the dime I had managed to find in the recess of my purse. I am extremely happy because the purse I'm using is on its last leg and now thanks to Skycraft I can use this other one

Skycraft is a true treasure. Places like this just don't exist very often anymore. It is a true surpluss store with tons of recovered gear an not just cheap Chinese junk sold as "surplus". Everything you can think of from huge motors to individual resistors to wire and metal stock, plus the biggest selection of fasteners I've ever seen. I drove down from jacksonville and spent 4 hours just wandering the shelves, and probably missed a fair amount of stuff. Do yourself a favor and set aside at least a few hours for your first visit.

Skycraft Surplus parts and electronics is always been my go-to place for odd parts or just things I need like wire or clamps anything dealing with electronics. You can always find some unique items here plan on browsing for an hour there's so much stuff. This picture is of some Led light assemblies. Also you can visit them online and purchase items.

Skycraft is incredible. There have been so many times that I have needed a part for my project and if it were not for skycraft I would have had to order it online. They have resistors, capacitors, transistors, thermal fuses, integrated circuits, potentiometers and just about every other electronics parts for any circuit. Springs, spacers, connectors/pins, motors, DC brushless fans, gears, shafts, wires, lugs, nuts, bolts, LEDs, oscilloscopes, rj45 connectors, plates, couplers. Skycraft is the diy enthusiasts, tinkeres and handymans toy store. Every single time I go here for one thing that I need and can only get here. I always end up spending at least 1 hour looking around and leaving with even more things you can only get locally here. Need a specific power supply for something? Skycraft. Need a thermal fuse for your drill pack or hair dryer? Skycraft. This place is a God send for me, but you have been warned! If you love to tinker and build/design custom circuits or really just about anything, then don't bring your wife/significant other unless they do too, because you will be here a while. You'll probably leave with ten other things you didn't know you came for, hahahaha! Staff is great. Been going to skycraft for many many years. Decades? For ever. Mornings are not as busy, so if you need a tour guide to navigate the labyrinth we call Skycraft, plan accordingly! Thanks again for having exactly...

If you are up for the hunt for treasures to be found at an electronics surplus store, this is definitely one to check out! It is has quite an amazing assortment of items that are actually well organised, and the staff are knowledgeable, and will help if you are after something in particular.

I am only along for the ride, yet find I have learned more fascinating facts from my brilliant partner while there on subjects such as test equipment, electrical motors, wiring, voltage regulattiors surge suppressors Arduinos, capacitors,....than I could ever imagined.

Plus you can't help but be intrigued by some of the unexpected and wonder a bit about their history. Today there was the deal on solar panels and outside what appeared to be the guts of an early version of a copier/ paper sorter?. It's easy to spend a good hour surveying and asking questions, or helping to search for a particular item for all kinds of home, auto, or technical projects. It's not "just shopping" going to jSkycraft is...
