Snip-its Haircuts for Kids — Attraction in Crofton

So I’m biased because I work here as a stylist, but I had to share my experience with our Angel tree. I’d never heard of these before; the Salvation Army provides a tree with wishlists from children in need. It has been wonderfully heartwarming to see how involved everyone is. I want to thank our clients and the locals, who specifically came in to contribute, for their efforts. I appreciate the WC town center for posting signs, so shoppers could find us and of course, our Snip-its owners for allowing us to be apart of something so special. This brought some much-needed Christmas cheer for me, personally. I’ve teared up every time someone brought gifts in for their angel kiddo. This is such an incredible organization. It’s brought out the best in our community. I’m amazed at how much time and care our donors have given. ♥️ Several of my co workers have snagged a tag from the tree too! My family is planning to spoil an angel tot, as well. I enjoy my job in general, but this has brought extra smiles and love this season. I’m very proud and grateful to work at a business that is giving back to our community! P.S. My 3 yr old won’t let me cut her hair anywhere, but at Snip-its! She LOVES watching herself in the mirror, getting pampered, and the butterfly clips. She wants a haircut whenever...

Called ahead and asked if they take walk ins, they said yes but to come before 3 because they’re so busy they usually can’t take walk ins any more. I say that’s ok I’ll be there in an hour (11am) When I arrive I was scolded that I can’t just show up without an appointment, and after telling her I called ahead and what they told me on the phone she argues back to say you still can’t do that. I was left stumped and said ok…. I’m sorry. And then she continues to check me in begrudgingly(there was no other clients in this place almost the entire time I was there btw). While starting my sons hair she asks another woman if she could finish his hair for her and the other girl laughs and says no. I have never felt so unwanted to be anywhere in my life. After already having started I just decided to go with the flow and brush it off. My son was very compliant and actually seemed to enjoy his first haircut. I trusted the process and after it was all gelled up with hair product I thought it looked decent. But after washing it I see it does not look good at all and so we are having to get it fixed else where. He won’t know/remember this but as a parent the first hair cut is supposed to be happy and memorable. Extremely disappointed with this place and will not...

Today was my first day taking my two-and-a-half-year-old son. usually my brother cuts his hair and he has been to a few barber shops as well. he did act up with The barbers who cut his hair but he did not act up with the lady who cut his hair. At first he was very unwilling but she offered him toys and lollipops! His haircut costs 19.95. we also ended up buying a hair product because we have been having issues trying to find a good hair product for his hair because his hair absorbs moisture so easily. The lady was patient, understanding, and fun. the other hairdressers there were extremely playful and looked like they enjoy their job. one lady not only clean her station but clean the other stations as well and I pay attention to that stuff because sometimes some hair stylist only clean their station and their station only. And I feel like that says a lot about a person but everyone is equally responsible for everyone's messes. They all look like they got along well. I have finally found a place to get my son's haircut and it only took a year and a half. Also my son is fully black, so for the mothers out there who are looking for a kid friendly place I can cut black hair, I do recommend this place! We will definitely make this our designated hair...
