We thought that the place would be packed beyond belief and we found that it wasn't. We went in and was seated right away on a rainy Friday evening about 7pm. And now to the rest of the story.
We didn't catch the waiter's name. But he was fantastic. So..
Just stop what your doing and go here. There is no other reason to go anywhere else for Authentic Mexican and I don't care if you drive 2 hours. It's well worth the time and money. This little place has great food. First time here and will not be the last.
We started our dining experience fresh made salsa, chip basket we added a bowl of queso and ordered a Sampler "is not" and that was enough to feed two people and you didn't need to order a meal afterwards.
The wife ordered a Sopas Dona Gloria and the tortillas they came on were to die for. These things looked like donuts and not any tortilla I've ever seen before. The meats (on each, chicken, steak and pork) were "NOT" heavily marinated, greazy and dripping with juice making the tortilla fall apart The taste was unbelievable. With a Peach/Mango margarita. (Small)
I had ordered the Tacos de Mariscos and OMG they were fantastic the fish, shrimp and scallops all had their own flavors, they were not tasting like they were cooked together. And the fresh mix of veggies summer squash zucchini and carrots were out of this world. And mounds of fried rice on bother dinners.
The bill came to just over 85. for the two of us with drinks and a quaso. It was well worth every penny spent. The server earned his 25. tip.
Again, go there. You will not be disappointed...
Read moreI was on the phone with my best friend while he walked into this restaurant to pick up a DoorDash order. He was in a great mood—sitting down, taking pictures, and waiting respectfully for the food. Out of nowhere, a Hispanic female worker with dark brown hair and very harsh brown eyebrows approached him rudely and told him to “lower your phone, this is a restaurant” in a very disrespectful tone. Meanwhile, there were white customers nearby being even louder, and loud music was playing—yet they were not addressed at all. It was clear she had been observing him closely and targeted him because of his confidence, race, and femininity. It was uncomfortable, discriminatory, and completely uncalled for. In a place that serves a diverse community, the staff should be trained on respect and inclusivity. No one deserves to be made to feel unwelcome or judged while waiting for food—especially someone just doing their job and minding their business. This kind of behavior from employees reflects poorly on the establishment. I hope management takes this seriously and has a real conversation...
Read more5 for cleanliness 3 or service 3 for the order being right (no dairy/ allergy) 2 for attentiveness Great patio dining area with umbrellas and strung Edison bulbs. The gas lamp heaters didn’t work. Which was unfortunate. Came in on Veterans Day and it was difficult to get someone to take our order. They obviously weren’t ready for the number of people who came in for lunch. I ordered the lunch 7 with no cheese. It came smothered in cheese. I’m allergic so I had to send it back. The replacement took forever. (The others in my table almost finished their meals) the replacement came and was covered in a spicy red sauce that was a bit too much for me, so I scooped it off on to another’s plate who had no sauce on his burrito (don’t know why). I loved the tamale. I’d order a dozen at a time!! The ground beef was really greasy and I just couldn’t eat it. The beans were really good and flavorful. We couldn’t get anyone to give us a second basket of chips. The salsa was fresh and really good. It would have been nice to have had a...
