Where I start. This hotel was the worst we have stayed at. We were subjected to an unsanitary environment, safety and hygiene concerns. We will be filing a complaint with the Maryland or Washington DC health code enforcement. These are violations. I have pictures of the bathing towels piled up in the hallway and tras
The service and customer service were horrible, the rooms were unbearable, the laundry machine inconsistently worked.
Our group had 12 rooms. We were in town for a baseball tournament. Our group contained 15/ 12 yrs old boys. These boys were stinky after practice, games, and outings.
Customer Service: No one is ever at the front desk. Customer stand there for 20 minutes waiting on someone to assist them. When they are there they sit in the back office hiding from customer. Now when you speak to someone, the are rude, specially one (African American) lady that works dayshift. She is rude and every time you ask for something she is difficult and always saw âNOâ. An example, simple asking for coffee in the lobby throughout the day. This is a normal treat from any hotel, at least the ones we have stayed at. The lady acted as if we were bothering her. When we had concerns, it was just excuse made. Let get to our main concern, room service and housekeeping, we stayed there eight (8) days. We asked a number of times as a group and individually to have our rooms cleaned. We were denied that service. On the third day, I was responsible for doing room checks, after observing the trash (food, drinks, bootlegs, cups,, leftover and spoiled food), I went down to the front desk and got large black trash bags and went room to room collecting trash. I filled up a trash bag and a half. I showed the lady at the front desk (named Tracy) (This is all on the front lobby video cameras.). I explained to her (Tracy)?that We need to have these rooms cleaned. At first she was reluctant and excuse about not being able to. I was able to work it out to have 5 rooms cleaned a day and alternate each day. Now we are moving to day 3. The morning as we were leaving for our baseball games, I check with the housekeeper (Nice Hispanic lady) on the 2nd floor to confirm. She said that we are not on her list. I was shocked because we just setup the night before. So as we were gathered downstairs in the lobby, I we to the front desk to follow up. Like usual, no one was there. I waited a few minutes and out from behind a partition wall the lady (African American) pops out. I inquired about our rooms getting cleaned. She immediately, cut me off saying, âNo, we cannot clean your rooms, we only clean the rooms of the guest checking outâ. I informed her that we had been at the hotel for three (3) days and our rooms had not been cleaned. She pretty much didnât care. She informed me that we had to call in advance to have our rooms cleaned in a day or two if we are staying longer. I then informed her that I did. Please get your Red Log book back on the desk. I advised her that (Tracy) and I had already setup the room cleaning to start today. She (African American) lady was surprised that I knew about the Red Log book. I had to repeat it two or three more times before she went to get the Log book. Once she did get the book, I showed her the Information noted which matched the photos that I had on my phone of the documentation. She then told me, have spoken to the housekeeper by manager? I told her no. Why would I be speaking to the housekeeping manager. She said, that who you need to schedule with. I was speechless.. I told her that I thought that would be her job since she is the Front desk attendant. She sighed! And mumbled under her breath. I no longer had time to continue discussing this because we had to get to our game to warm up. So needless to say, when we returned (about 12 hours later) none of our rooms were cleaned. This is part 1 (To be continued).. I am a pretty easy going person but when I contacted the Wyndham corporation, I was disappointed in their course of action and response to...
Read moreMy 10-year-old son and I along with the rest of his lacrosse team were in the area for a tournament. Sadly, upon returning from the tournament a room key did not work when I called down to the front desk and spoke with Desk Clerk/TracyAnn to alert her that was sending my 10 yearly down for a new room key. The desk clerk cut me off then immediately put me on hold after holding for about 45 seconds she returns to the line stating âyou only reserved the room for one nightâ when I attempted to rebut she hung up the phone on me. I took the elevator to the lobby. Oddly enough she the same individual who checked me in at 2:59AM. I requested to speak with the person from the call the clerk I now know as Tracy Ann responded â it was me you spoke to. I hung up on you, you were rude to me from last nightâ TracyAnn informed me that there was no manager to assist me. She called a friend and spoke loudly enough so I could hear as I stood there that she was inclined to have me escorted from the property by the police. This was a most humiliating experience. I would not wish this on my worst enemy, I have no idea what triggered this there was no yelling there was no screaming there was no pointing thankfully there are video cameras all throughout this hotel I hope and pray they will review the cameras from June 10, 2023 at approximately 815 through 840 p.m. The footage will show a clear depiction of what occurred. My voice was not raised. There was no threatening, body language. I hope and pray that the next time someone encounters this individual, they are not subject to...
Read moreSo hereâs a small tidbit of my experience at this hotel. Iâm from VA and came down to visit family in MD. My mom recommended this hotel as it is a new build and pretty close to her residence. We arrived at the hotel and checked in. The front desk staff (CHRIS) was absolutely amazing and extremely accommodating. HOWEVER, when we arrived to the room the sheets had stains on them along with the pillow cases. We requested a second set of sheets, those sheets also arrived at our room with stains on them. I went to take a shower, and most of the towels that were supposed to be clean were also Soiled and disgusting. The hotel is laid out nice, but whoever the housekeeping staff is, doesnât give a d* about anything. They donât care if things are still stained. Someone made the bed with stains on the sheets and had no care in the world about it. I donât even think they changed the linens before I checked into the room to be completely honest. If it wasnât Christmas I wouldâve left this hotel and went to another one, but during a holiday that isnât the easiest thing to do. I hope that thereâs a Microtel at Wyndham manager reading this and does some research into who completed the housekeeping this holiday because this type of service is not only disgusting but itâs unsanitary. I think the Motel 8 has a better housekeeping staff than this hotel and I paid a total of $370 for 2 nights. I guess you get what you pay for. If you have an option to stay at another hotel I would recommend it, your health could Potentially be at risk if...
