I’ve been going to this store for tech and printing needs that can’t wait, which has been a lot over the years as i am a tech contractor.
Years ago, i could rely on this store to print things exactly as i needed. About a year or two ago, the problems began. Our graphics for our small biz were lost because of employee error (as i was informed, not spec) and tho we weren’t happy with the new design like we were the previous one, they said there was no way to even recreate our cards as they were done using something Staples no longer has access to.
When it was time to get the cards, they were on very flimsy stock which I was careful to point out we did not want before we printed them. The store printed them again (keep in mind, the store is 30 mins from home ea way) so i went back to get them and this time they were really dull. It turns out, as i was told, Staples can no longer print on stock that is both thicker and glossier. So, we ended up having to stick w the duller cards, which was better than flimsy.
I went to have the cards printed recently and it’s been another huge hassle. Thankfully i looked at the cards before i left and saw that they were not nearly as vibrant as the dull cards we settled on the last time. The associate quickly accepted that they didn’t have sufficient ink in the printer and would reprint them. Another trip home, then back to store again days later and this time they seemed right. the cards on top of the boxes (staples has a little slot to put the card in as a sample of what should b inside) looked good and so i made the mistake of approving them and leaving. Once i returned home and started putting cards in cases and holders and such to b used, i learned someone took the time to find the best cards and used those as the two samples and shuffled the cards inside to hide that they are all different colors of what we wanted instead of being nice like the demo cards were. Many of them have streaks, look like a gradient fill instead of solid… no consistency.
Losing the new castle PA Staples made me do everything i could to keep the last staples in our area open by using it as much as possible, but the quality and care, at least in the printing department, is lacking and now i’m not real confident in using the services myself let alone...
Read moreEmployee was not cooperative in wanting to make copies of my resume, instead he preferred I use the self print which currently does not have an option for resume paper. He questioned if I had problems using the self service printer. I then questioned him if the resume paper was an option of a self service printer. I asked for gray resume paper to print my resume copies. He stated he could not find gray on shelf of the kiosks so made it a normal paper weight in cream. I asked him if a customer wanted a resume printed on resume quality paper couldn’t he simply go to the sales shelf and pull it and print? He further asked if I wanted to print both sides of my resume. I stated yes of course I want all sides of my résumé info. 10/10/23 7:23pm Suggest employee be trained properly to support the various services offered by a...
Read moreI went there this Friday evening to purchase a new keyboard for my wife. We found a desk chair that she really liked. I got hold of a salesperson to retrieve one for me. He looked and looked and could not find one. I told him that I would just take the one he had on display. Most places that if you purchase a floor model, they discount the price a bit. I wasnt asking for that. I just wanted the chair for the price that was stated on the chair. Now he says I have to pay an additional 15 dollars for them assembling the chair.ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I could not believe it. Now he says that he can order one for me and have it delivered to my house..DUH,,,I really think I can do that myself from my house. Maybe I should have asked him to disasemble it for me and save me 15 bucks... From a...
