Stopped here at around 7:45pm after a long day on the road. We knew they closed at 9 so we asked the hostess if we had enough time to have dinner and she cheerfully said there was plenty of time. Drinks came in plenty of time which was nice but then we got our food... We ordered an eggs Benedict meal as they serve breakfast all day, once received the eggs came scrambled (was supposed to be given a choice of how the eggs were cooked and was not, so assumed they would come in a traditional eggs Benedict style, poached). Home fries were sparse and had a random, single nub of french fry in with them. The dish was warm but definitely not hot. The dish as whole left a lot to be desired. We also had two orders of fried chicken dinners, which took more time than the other dishes because they were cooking it to order and fresh, which was fine. BUT, when the chicken did come, it was cut into to eat and was RAW - pink, cold and just so raw. This erased all of our appetites and we returned the chicken to the waitress and asked that the dishes be taken off of our cheque which they did. The manager was very kind and apologetic and offered us other meals but it was getting late and our appetites were gone. He did give us two whole loaves (banana and lemon) on the house, which was a great gesture.
I don't normally leave reviews as I work in the service industry myself but felt very disappointed and unsatisfied with the food we received. We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews it had online and I don't doubt that it is, but I wanted to warn anyone that came closer to when the restaurant closes as it seems not much effort/care is given by the kitchen staff at this time. We were very pleased with how the manager handled everything, but wish that it hadn't had to happen...
Read moreNever again. Ordered food for a party in a clinic 24 hours before and they completely missed an order. I wanted the food at 11:15 am as the staff was suppose to resume work by 12:45 1st food was not ready on time and it took them 45 minutes late and gave me the food at 12:00 secondly even after asking them repeatedly that if they have all the ordered fulfilled they said yes and completely missed the grill chicken n corn, had to come back for the same the party was such a flop show since I was running around to get these orders fulfilled. Manager at bob Evan’s hermitage had the audacity to say you have to pay for the order even I kept telling him you completely missed an order , however he did not offer any apology and the waitress/person at the counter was so rude. He just told me I’ll call the customer relations for a refund which never happened. It’s the worst place to relay on in terms of bulk orders coz they don’t care about customers , it’s taken for granted as ppl eat there mo matter what. I even called costumer relations to file a complaint , gave it a week no reply no answer from them yet. It’s a lesson learnt , I will never be ordering anything from them for any of our parties they just lost business. All I would like to tell ppl is beware of of such establishments who take you for granted for your...
Read moreI checked the open hours and they indicated that the restaurant was open until 9 p.m. I had been quite far away this weekend and hadn't had time to eat pre-flight, so after arriving in Akron, I had and hour and a half drive to my home in Hermitage. I arrived at the restaurant at 8:28 p.m. After waiting a few minutes, and I had made eye contact with 2 females working in the restaurant, one came over to me at the hostess stand. I stated that I needed a quick dinner, knowing that they closed in a half hour. I even stated that I would be happy to take home a to-go order. The associate stated that there was no one to serve me, as the last of the wait staff had gone home. I thought that a to-go order didn't require a member of the wait staff, since I would not be technically served at table. I also thought that in these days of economic hardship, businesses were only too happy to sell product. Instead, I was turned away. If the restaurant wants to close at 8:30 p.m. instead of the posted 9 p.m., they need to change the times on their website and lock the door. I am pretty upset about this, and I hope the General Manager or the Franchise Owner is alerted to this kind of customer-unfriendly behavior. Having worked most of my working career in retail, this would never have been...
