I rarely give bad reviews. My husband and I were looking forward to trying this place. We dined in and there was a young girl working the register. I understand she isn't making $20 an hour, but a hello, a smile, a sign of life would be nice. We had to keep saying "excuse me" because she spoke so low. We ordered 2 chili cheese dogs, chili cheese fries, fries, 2 drinks and a plain cheeseburger. Go to get our drinks, the ice is empty. I tell the woman at the counter and she just stares at me. Ok. Get our food. I kid you not, the chili dogs were ice cold. The entire thing. Normally I'd go ask them to reheat in but I didn't really think it would go over well. The chili cheese fries were a little warmer, but there were way more fries than chili and cheese. The cheese wasnt melted at all, it was just lightly sprinkled on top of more cold chili.I was incredibly disappointed because cold chili dogs and fries suck. I told my husband, im just going to box it up and reheat it at home and add more cheese. He opened his plain cheeseburger and they got it right, it was a plain cheeseburger. Wal-Mart bun, frozen burger patty, half a head of lettuce. It's not a $3.29 burger, it's like a school cafeteria burger. He took a couple bites and threw it away. We were supposed to bring home food for our kids, but decided we'd already spent $27 for cold food, and they probably wouldn't eat it. Ended up stopping at mcdonalds. Was not impressed . Sorry. On a good note they give you a lot of fries with their cold chili....
Read moreTonight was our first and our last trip here. From the second that you pull in the parking lot, it’s very uninviting. There is essentially no lighting in the parking lot. If you arrive after dark, bring your flashlight. We ordered the famous chili dogs and they only came with chili. We were told that you have to ask for mustard and onions if you want them. We have been going to the New Castle location for decades, and the last time we checked, a “famous” chili hot dog comes with “everything” unless otherwise specified. The chili also did not taste the same as the New Castle location. There were several people working. Some had long hair and were not wearing any kind of hairnet. The pop machine was out of ice, so we had to tell them about it. We saw a lady order a basket of food, and she got up, put the entire basket of uneaten food on the counter, and walked out. I have never seen this happen at Coney Island or any other restaurant before. So, this speaks volumes about how the food tastes. Overall, this wasn’t a good experience. Check out the New Castle location on Wilmington Road for a better...
Read moreYou know, I wasn't gonna leave a review, but since you wanna be passive-aggressive to my mom, I'm gonna let you and everyone else know this is how you treat customers based on reviews youve also gotten in the past, that you also responded to a lot nicer. Google maps has a picture of tarter sauce on the fish sandwich. Tell me who wants a dry sandwich? Who even sells a dry sandwich unless someone asks for it? We really hoped this would be good. This was our first time coming here. You need to find a way to actually add flavor to the chili that apparently "it's all about". My chili dog only had flavor because of the onion and mustard. The chili burger tasted like distant, vague memories. It's not a hit piece, it's...
