Mattress Firm Hermitage PA — Hotel in Hermitage

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. About 1 year ago I bought a floor model mattress and box spring with a full warranty. After about 3 months one side of the mattress started to collapse. We filed a warranty claim and were given an exchange. I assumed that this was the gamble I took when buying a floor model. We ended up having to pay more for a replacement because they were no longer on sale (same mattress) but I was okay with that because I wanted to be comfortable. Well, here we are, about 6 months later and it is doing the same thing . I filed a warranty claim and they denied it citing that the frame or box spring was damaged and causing the problem. I attempted to call them and apparently you cannot actually speak to someone in the warranty department, it has to be a live chat online. I called the store and spoke to the manager at the Boardman location. I was told he couldn't do anything for me. I told him that I was literally sleeping in a hole.. When I tried to explain that I cannot even sit on the side of the bed to get dressed because I slide off, I was told that mattress were made to be laid on, not to sit on the side. Really!? C'mon, I challenge you to find a way in or out of a bed without sitting at some point. I did the live chat and was told I filed the claim under the wrong category and that I could file another. Well I did, this time providing pictures showing it was level and sturdy. Denied again for the same reason. Now I cannot seem to get the live chat to work again. Long story short, I wasted $1000 on a mattress I wouldn't give away for free. I went elsewhere and bought a new mattress so that I can get a decent night's sleep. Ty deserves a bonus and a raise! We would give them a million stars if we could just based on their customer service alone! My husband and I purchased a Saatva mattress online and it wasn't really working out for us, so we thought we'd stop by Mattress Firm in Hermitage to look at our other options before returning the Saatva. We were greeted by Ty and he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and a super friendly guy and helped us eliminate options to pick out the perfect mattress for us without pressuring us or pushing us in one way. We ended up going with the King Size Plush Intellibed Nightfall. I never in my life thought I would say that we had so much fun at a mattress store, but I think we laughed for about 2 and a half hours straight. Our trip to Mattress Firm definitely tops one of our most memorable! Yes, this is a mattress store I'm talking about! When we left there, we felt like we had just caught up with an old friend. Ty not only helped us pick out a mattress, but he also brightened our day and I hope when he's having a bad day that he remembers those 2 crazy people who came in on Valentine's Day and has a good laugh to get through the rest of the day. I finally decided it was time to get a new Mattress and after looking around I finally found a mattress that I liked and it was within my budget. So I placed the order. It was a plush Beauty Rest mattress and, while not it stock, I was told that it would be ready within 30 days. Everything was good up until the day before when I checked the original email from the day I ordered to check the tracking info.

This is where the one star comes from. The delivery date on the order had changed by 2 weeks with no email or other notification of the date change. Then after talking with support I found that the mattress itself would not be in stock for another 3 weeks after the updated delivery date

This meant that the in stock date for the mattress was set for nearly 5 weeks after the original delivery date (and about 9 weeks from the initial puchace)

This to me is unacceptable and I will not tolerate the 0 updates in changes to my order (At the time of writing I am canceling my order)

I will not recommend Mattress firm to anyone and suggest people to just buy and in stock mattress and not deal with any form...
