Sugar Kingdom — Attraction in North Myrtle Beach

We loved Sugar Kingdom! It's right down the road from where we stay in MB and were pleasantly surprised to find Sugar Kingdom had opened nearby. It's a great store. It's bright, colorful and very clean. In fact, it's the best candy store in the MB area. Everything was fresh and the selection is huge. You can find newer candy as well as old time favorites. The ice cream selection is the best in the area. They sell Hershey's ice cream which I think is the best. The Blue Panda ended up being our favorite. I think we visited the shop 3 times to get it. On our last visit, we got the last of the container lol. The owners and staff are very friendly. You won't regret stopping in here...

I would definitely not recommend young women or children shopping here alone. Me and my 3 friends all younger females were harassed and very uncomfortable because of an employee there. Said employee touched all of our arms and made us touch him and asked us inappropriate personal information. The employee also informed us he was high and drunk Out of his mind. To say we were uncomfortable and scared is an understatement. Said employee also asked if he could lift us up and waited at our car for us while we checked out and informed us when he got off and said he wished he could go with us. We were terrified and the other employee said nothing about...

This is really not a review about the candy (which is good) or the lovely people who work there. This is about the owners. The last time I went in, the two owners were in the store taking pictures and directing the refill of product. The one employee there was very helpful and polite to us. But I witnessed his “bosses” belittling and berating him to the point of much discomfort to me. After many minutes of bullying the poor kid (they did not seem to care that a customer was present), I heard “What are you, stupid?” That was just too much. I’ve never heard such abuse of an employee. And for that reason, we will never return...
