As a returning customer from several years ago who had a decent first experience, I decided to give this establishment another chance due to its convenient location. What a difference a few years has made. My recent experience revealed a shocking deterioration in service quality and professionalism.
My issues began immediately. I specifically called ahead to confirm they offered prenatal massages, informed the receptionist of my stage, and was assured I was within the acceptable range. Upon arrival, I was asked to pay for the service upfront, a policy that often indicates a low priority for customer satisfaction or post-service feedback. This was followed by an unexpected $10 upcharge for using coconut oil, which I politely declined.
The situation worsened upon entering the room. Despite confirming my prenatal needs, the massage table lacked the necessary face or abdominal cutout for comfortable positioning. When I inquired about a proper table setup, the therapist dismissed my concern and simply provided a dirty pillow stained with oil residue as a makeshift support. This immediate failure to accommodate a confirmed and specialized service was the first major betrayal of trust.
The massage itself was one of the worst I have ever received. No oil or lotion was initially used; instead, the therapist worked with bare, noticeably sweaty hands, which felt unsanitary and uncomfortable. The friction quickly became painful, forcing me to ask her to apply some lotion, which she did minimally and begrudgingly. There was zero discernible technique; the entire time felt like a casual, repetitive rubbing motion, and my arms were completely neglected. I made several polite requests for her to focus on specific tense areas, and each time, she brushed me off with the unprofessional assurance, "later."
The environment was further compromised by a complete lack of professionalism. The therapist was dressed in an inappropriate crop top and repeatedly engaged in distracting, prolonged conversation with another employee outside the door.
The experience was so objectively bad—a combination of poor hygiene, inadequate technique, and gross unprofessionalism—that it took all my restraint not to ask her to stop. When I was asked to sign my receipt and was then directly questioned, “No tip?” I responded honestly: "This is the worst massage I’ve ever gotten in my life." I am normally a great tipper but is the first time I have EVER withheld a tip...
Read moreLet me say I bought this deal off Groupon. It was for 2 sessions. The first one no complaints. The 2nd is where it went downhill. The tech called to confirm my appointment, I informed her I was in route and GPS said 20 mins this was at 4:30 appointment was at 5:30. She called back at 5:08 to check the status she was informed there was an accident but GPS says I’m 15 minutes away. She started huffing and puffing saying Appt was at 5:30 and was very very rude then hung up in my face. I called back and realized she called from her personal cell and not the business phone. I asked her why did she hang up in my face. She said you need cancel your appointment and continue by interrupting me while I was talking saying oh my God, oh my God just get here already and hung up again.
Needless to say they weren’t getting my business but I was still going to make sure management knew what happened. When I arrived I asked the lady at the entrance if she called to confirm my appointment she said no and got the woman who did. Well when she was questioned she denied everything, said it wasn’t her. I asked for a manager they claimed “he” wasn’t in. Some guy came to the front to see what happened; however he never addressed me or my partner. He was speaking to both ladies in their language which I thought was very rude.
It was disappointing because I am a healthcare worker who was looking forward to a nice relaxing massage after dealing with the cares of the world with constant death and sickness.
The rude lady ends up asking if we were still getting massages with no apology. I politely let them know that we weren’t and in fact we purchased multiple Groupons for their establishment that we won’t be utilizing. I let them know that I have a strong social media following and would be sharing this experience and the business on all of them. I never heard from anyone in management and my...
Read moreI highly doubt the training the masseuse here receive. I paid for a 90 minute deep tissue massage which was delivered by the lady at the front desk who claimed to be filling in for an absentee receptionist after I inquired why she stopped midsession to answer phone calls at the front desk. She did go ahead and transfer her phone answering duties to another person after I objected. I am very displeased because despite numerous requests for more pressure to be applied, she would do so for one minute then rivet to her preference of rubbing lotion on my skin. This was worse than a basic swedish and again I paid for a deep tissue session. My fingers and feet were freezing for most of the session and she was courteous enough to add a little sheet over my feet which were otherwise exposed. Despite knowing I was cold, she would try to use the same hot towel on multiple body regions and I had to eventually point this out before she went to get a fresh hot towel. She was pleasant overall, understood some English but certainly has no idea what...
