The shoppe itself and merchandise are lovely, and I was enjoying being there, however the lady behind the counter very much so dampened the experience. My partner and I had unexpectedly cross paths with some of our friends and have been in the store for no more than 3 minutes when I was begrudgingly asked by the lady “are you guys going to talk, or are you going to shop, because I have new customers coming in and they cannot see because of ya’ll”. (she asked me this as I was looking at a piece of merchandise I was interested in) making the whole experience uncomfortable. We where a small group of 6 and only 3 more people had entered the store which still had ample space all around, so I do not understand what the issue was. Myself and 2 other members of the group were engaged in shopping, not the conversation. Old Town Spring is one of mine and my partner’s favorite destinations for relaxing and adventuring, but today was a bit of a disappointment due to this incident.
additional input, after owners input 5/27/2025.
#1. There are ways to express ones self that is not derogatory. she was impatient and rude from the beginning of interaction.
#2. She was discriminatory, (several members of the group of where dressed in a modern goth style, for personal reasons of self enjoyment.) If they had been dressed in HER "the shop owners" PRECOINCIEVED apparition of normality. nothing would have been said.
#3. The shop is not excessively small, nor where we speaking excessively loud. There was ample room for our small group of 6 plus the additional 3. Which she had not even attempted to engage the 3 new patrons. Before addressing me, who as mention was actively shopping, not conversating.
#4. Old Town Spring is supposed to be a social environment. Where individuals can openly express themselves and experience inclusion, as well as freely interact with acquaintances and friends. Which Susy from "Susy's Stuff" openly discouraged.
#5. Although the accessory pieces of jewelry where appealing to the eye, they can be found radially with a quick google search.
#6. It is appalling for someone with such an unpleasant demeanor to use articulates such as "God bless you" in a false manner, to be perceived as a wholesome individual. When they are in fact behaving in a unrighteous manner. Please also note the passive aggressive "Well thank you so much for your review" that was used to address an obvious issue.

Read moreWe had a very unfortunate experience at this store yesterday. I was with my kids and we stopped in to look. I’m a fairly private, introverted person but my son was with me and he’s very social. He struck up a conversation with the woman in the store and I was looking around at my own pace when the women fixated on me and wanted me to look at something. I said no thank you I wasn’t interested and she got an attitude so we left. It’s very odd that she completely ignored my son (who makes much more money than I do and would be far more likely to buy something from her than me) and fixated on me when I was clearly not interested. I don’t suspect she will be in business very long unless she learns how to read customers. Anyway, be fore warned before...
