Armadillo Escape Room Adventures — Local services in Spring

NOTE - This takes place during the pandemic

I booked the "First Day of Summer" adventure for my wife and I as a anniversary gift as she LOVES Sherlock Holmes and mysteries. Now, a bit of back story, due to a health issue, I have a very compromised immune system. Because of this I have to be super careful in a normal setting as a single well placed germ could do me serious harm, now add in COVID and I've rarely left my house.

One of the reasons I booked with AERA, is that they make it clear that you are to have your mask on at all times inside, take precautions, as well as use sanitizer to make sure no germs were spread inside their building. When we actually arrived for the event, I saw they took steps inside as well, such as having a limited storefront to make sure germs that did get out didn't land on a shirt that someone would buy and take home. This really made me feel comfortable and that I didn't have to be like the terminator and search for possible things that could do me in.

Now with that out of the way, the adventure itself was very fun and well thought out. Sure some of it is a bit "far out" with things that no normal student/classroom would have, but that's what makes it so enjoyable. It makes you think with everything lining up. The puzzles are all very solvable, even if you have to take a moment to think and look around. Nothing is too "smart" that you won't be able to figure it out as everything you need is in the room. (For example, you don't need to know latin to solve a clue) And the staff did a great job while staying in character to point us in the right direction if they saw we were going in a totally wrong way which we did several times.

Also really liked that I could book everything online. Made it so easy. The website was easy to use and made it clear what was expected.

In short, I will be going back to try other adventures as a day later, my wife is still talking about what fun...

This place is amazing! It's the perfect place to bring 3+ friends along and have a great time. Its definitely a place where great memories will be made and is great for people of all interests. Even if you're not good at puzzles, it's not that bad. They have different rooms with different difficulties so whether you have never done an escape room or escaped many rooms before, they have the rooms for any skill level. The rooms are also very replayable and they have speed run records if you want to beat the speed run records. If you want to come back a next time and play the same rooms you can. The rooms either have different paths to take or different sections to do so when you replay the room, you could different parts of it so your not doing the same thing...

This was my first time at Armadillo Escape Room Adventures but my fifth escape room overall. I really liked the location and the staff were super friendly. The room we tried (Time Travel Trouble) tied with another escape room I've done for the most difficult yet. The reason I left off a star is that we found out after we finished our adventure that the room is nearly impossible to beat with less than 9 people and we only had 8. 2 of them were so overwhelmed that they didn't do much so really we had 6. I would like to have known that before booking the room. That being said I would recommend this escape room location, overall it was a blast and I'm sure...
