I have been coming here since I was in my 20s. Iām now in my 40s. So, I guess u could say that this store & I have a certain familiarity & history that makes it all the more special in my opinion. It was the first Metaphysics store that I felt completely at peace in, as it is entirely without the darker energies that can sometimes be felt @ certain other occult & witchcraft supply stores that cater to both the light & dark arts. I only feel the influences of the āwhite lightā here & that makes it a great place to come if u have never before been to Metaphysical Shoppe before but have wanting to see what itās all about. This is a nice safe environment with friendly staff that are all happy to answer your questions no matter how novice, basic, or beginner level they are. They do a great job of making all who enter here feel welcomed. The last time I visited here was quite some time ago, unfortunately, as it was way back in 2018!! I took my soulmate Michael with me to this store & he almost didnāt go in bc he was raised by an extremely strict Episcopalian Christian family & his mother held strong beliefs that metaphysics, divination, crystals, & ritualistic cleansing were all part of devil worship & satanic type arts. I promised him that it wasnāt like that here & he reluctantly accompanied me into the house. He found that instead of out of place he felt quite peaceful once inside & really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful crystals, etc. they had to offer. I ended up buying him a Pyrite Skull to commemorate our day together & to the openness to new possibilities & ideas. Thank u Spirit Quest for helping my fiancĆ© to gain a better understanding of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisappointing experience. I live about 4 minutes from here and this is one of the places I like to stop by and get trinkets for friends. Well, I brought my friends here for the first time to show them... The cashier wearing black hoodie, wavy longish hair, on the short side, young, and black glasses was very inattentive and rude. Check the cameras around 2:41pm on 01/27/2024. She was in that little room inside gossiping while she had customers waiting at the register. Well as she comes back I try to ask her a question and, well I guess she didn't hear me... That's okay, no big deal. When I do get to ask her: "I remember there used to have chip bracelets on this wall. Is there any more?" She says in an annoyed tone: "no we don't have chip bracelets anymore all we have is these" so I ask: "do you know when there will be more?" She replies with "I don't know I don't order, I'm just a cashier," at first, I dismissed it as... It's just a kid. Whatever, but then my friends said "oh I was gonna ask about their copper rings, but nevermind." So that's when it kind of bothered me because I like this place and I wanted them to like it too. Also, it seems like Spirit Quest has a lot less merchandise thang before and they've moved the furniture a bit... What happened? I was here not too long ago... Won't ask that to the cashier though, because she's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's been a while since I've visited Old Town Spring so I took my boys last Saturday. I first heard about Spirit Quest from a Facebook group so it was the first in my list of shops to visit.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating, specially since I have both my boys with me. (That's saying something.)
The incense selection is awesome and I found a few select candles too. There were quite a few herbs that were out of stock but looks like there are quite a few choices there too .
There was a nice display of selenite and little rock tumbles all over. It is slightly higher than I'm used to but after you factor in the drive to I-10 or Harwin, the dollar or so difference is well worth the gas money.
If I am already in the area and enjoying the cluster of eclectic shops around Old Town Spring, I would pick up a gem or two. Otherwise, for hardcore gem shopping, I would probably make the...
