I walk in their friendly, although I was told I had to wear a mask, not exactly thrilled about that, but you know it is what it is, the girl who was doing my hair was nice and friendly but when she's through, she doesn't hand me a mirror to look and see the braid, So I have no ideal, I'm realizing later on when I'm walking out it's a loose braid no hairspray, then she's trying to upsell me a product that I end up being pressured into buying, I'm also taking advantage of at checkout by an almost $10 tip I didn't even authorize because I didn't realize what happened until afterwards, the cashier also added an extra $2 to the already $18 braid that was high considering how loose it was, I will not be getting a braid done here again, and if i ever do return which might be a while, I won't be having Triston do my hair again if I ever come back due to the simple fact I felt taking advantage of by her, because she seen someone she could hit up for money, she rudely waited at the front for a tip, she literally stood over me while i was trying to figure the tip in, all this after pressuring me into buying a product I wasn't really sure I even wanted to buy since I just had a simple French braid, no perm or anything where I needed to buy this hair treatment, I think this was my worse experience in a Salon ever and to think I was considering coming back to get a spiral perm, not after being treated So Poorly, I told her from the start, I was wanting a tighter braid, if she couldn't do it, that's fine, could have easily got someone else, I'm just very disappointed after spending So much for So little, I'm expecting a call back with an apology or maybe even a partial refund, I mean who takes a tip out themselves and doesn't tell you how much is being taken, I even asked...
Read moreHuge complaint! I usually don't write bad reviews but its really bothering me to think that this lady is giving bad haircuts to all walk ins that she gets assigned to. On 4/6/24, i walked in to the 2129 FM 2920 location with my 5 year old. Didnt have an appointment but i used to walk in to the Cypresswood location all the time without any issue. We get assigned to an older lady, have no clue what her name was. My 5 year old daughter goes first. I wanted layers for my kid, the lady asks if i style it. I thought she meant do i put mousse on her hair so i said no, i let it air dry after she showers. She says "oh, let me do this then. It'll give her volume". She starts cutting with a comb with a blade. Takes about 10 minutes to cut it. I didnt want it dryed or styled so wet, it looked great. Then it was my turn. My hair was long to right above my butt and i wanted layers too. She tells me my hair is not long enough and the shortest layer would be above my ear. I was like eww, so she says okay, let me do this. She cuts it and since its wet, it felt good so we were happy. Paid and gave her a $10 tip. Later that week, i noticed that my hair had no volume (like when i usually get layers) and my kids hair was tough to put in a ponytail and bun (which is what she usually wears for school since she's 5 years old). I realized that she gave me a straight cut and when i looked in between my kids hair, i saw chunks of hairs that were about 2 inches long. I dont want my money back and i dont want to take my kid back in because she will be very sad if she knows what the back of her hair looks like. I just want to let everyone know what this hairdresser is cutting like. I will...
Read moreI got my hair done here and it was an amazing experience! I went in Sunday for what I thought were highlights. They figured out what I really wanted was a balayage. Not wanting to rush me and give me something I didn't want, they scheduled me early Monday so they could give plenty of time to make me happy. I spent 5 hours in the salon but it honestly didn't feel like it. The girls made me feel welcome and the girl doing my hair, Trysten, was so amazing and we talked the entire time she was doing my hair. She pulled out hair swatched to figure out what kind of blonde I wanted to go to and explained how the whole process works so that I made an informed decision. She also did everything she could to keep my hair as healthy as possible and it worked! My hair feels soft as ever and it looks amazing! She made sure the balayage was exactly where and how I dreamed of it and made me feel welcome the whole time. Oh, and the best part is that I got my balayage, full shampoo and conditioner, and a blowdry and straighten all for $136!!! I'm blown away by how amazing all of this was. If anyone asks where to go for anything hair wise, I'm recommending them! Thank you...
