If I could give a 0 I would. I’ll share my experience at this horrible complex. More than one year ago, I experienced the most frustrating thing (for me because of my phobia to roaches) my apartment was infected with roaches, They were everywhere, dishwasher, plugs, under de kitchen, under the fridge, everywhere. I asked several times for a treatment, with no results. I thought it was just my apartment until the guy from Massey told me it was the whole building, and that I was not allowed to put any treatment by myself. I asked the manager to please help me to move to a different building and the answer was that they didn’t have anything available even when they had apartments on the system. So I asked her to help me to break the lease, I was not expecting anybody to understand what a phobia is, my phobia is roaches and I can’t control it. The manager by that time was Rose who was really polite by the way, and helped me to release the lease. I moved two months before the lease was over and I received my letter of approval to break the lease from the corporate. One year after I lived there, I received a letter from collection for almost $1700 and when I went there they said that I had to talk to the manager Brooke (who was de manager assistant by the time I lived there, who was and is the most conceited and rude person in that team) so I went on Monday and she was “on a meeting” I waited and waited and the meeting was not over so I decided to go to work, after that I called to make an appointment and the assistant manager said that she could provide me the information over the phone or in person. She said that I owe one month because I left earlier and I didn’t give a notice, that I have to go personally and check the information on my file, which I did today and the agent talked to the manager to let her know I was There and then told me to call collection and start a dispute because they were no longer dealing with it, I asked her to show me the file because I never received a letter from the complex notifying that I owed anything and the answers was the same, the lack of empathy was huge. I told her can I speak with the manager? And she said the manager can’t do anything and she won’t say anything different but deal with collection. The worst manager they could hire, have no empathy at all and the worst customer service from all of them. I was really polite and didn’t posted anything about the roaches because I gave Rose the opportunity to solve the problem. Until now, one year after I moved and received a collection letter for no reason. By the way the roaches are...
Read moreI have lived at The Preserve at Mobbly Bay for almost two years. I am not renewing my lease and will be moving. I find apartment reviews helpful so I have listed my pros and cons below. Overall, my experience has been generally good. I only recommend this apartment complex if you are looking for an affordable option with spacious layouts.
PROS: -Market rental rates are fair. I understand rates are going up everywhere, but this place has actually kept their rates fair considering the location. -Spacious apartments. I lived in the Calla renovated floorplan and I enjoyed how much space I had especially with the laundry and closet. -Fast maintenance service. Towards the beginning of my lease I had to submit a few maintenance requests and they were always quick to fix the problem and keep me updated.
CONS: -BUGS!! I cannot emphasize the problem with bugs in my apartment. I lived on the 1st floor and it has been absolutely horrible. I have gotten little roaches, spiders, ants, and geckos. The worst part has been with the monster ROACHES. I have encountered them twice and I have never screamed with so much horror in my life. Pest control does nothing. I have requested and they never go away. I bought boric acid tablets that have definitely reduced the amount of roaches I've seen in the apartment, but the big guys do not go away. -Poor office staff communication. If you want to contact the leasing office, good luck. The only way to contact them is by physically going to the office during office hours. I'm sure they will respond to this review because they have to, but it's really unfortunate they make it nearly impossible to reach to them via email or phone. -Excess debris in the parking lot. The parking area has a lot of trees and everyday there is a ton of debris on my car and on the ground. -Valet trash service. I've been a great tenant when it comes to keeping my area clean and putting my trash in the valet bin. I work late nights sometimes so one time I put my trash out when I was leaving for work so I wouldn't miss the valet service. Come home with a note about the valet service and found out I was fined $25 a few days later. I didn't even...
Read moreWe lived here for almost 2 years and decided most recently not to renew our lease, I truly would not recommend living here. This complex has its pros and cons as follows: Staring with the Pros: -the maintenance team at this complex is SPECTACULAR. They respond very quickly to any service requests, and are very friendly and efficient. -the pool (when taken care of) is very nice as well as the other amenities such as dog park and fitness center Now for the Cons: there is definitely a roach problem in this ENTIRE complex. We started noticing roaches almost immediately upon moving in, as you can see in the photos attached it got out of control, roaches were in the breezeways, in the pool area, and the new pest control company they have only comes once a week and only sprays a certain amount of units, meaning you will not get quick service even if you have roaches in your unit. These roaches appear no matter how clean you are -management hardly ever answers the phone, I would have to call them multiple times to get a hold of them -there was also a mold problem in our unit, I would put in work orders and even called the office to express my concerns with the black mold in my unit to which the lady responded “you need to scrub it with bleach honey” completely disregarding my concerns the “gates” worked for one day of our entire 22 month stay at the preserve the units are not renovated for what you pay -people will have loud parties at the pool with no control, and they will leave the pool disgusting for days. -the grounds are not cleaned well, there was constantly trash in the mulch and grass -The breezeways are hardly ever pressure washed. I had a neighbor who would feed stray cats and leave cat food out, which left the breezeways disgusting. There is also squirrels and raccoons that will get into your valet trash and leave it all over the breezeways -the walls are paper thin, prepare to be able to hear whatever your...
