Our server was great, (Jahnai) he was the only factor that should have received 5 stars. The food was alright. The entire time we were seated, there were two males at the cashier stand, I’m assuming managers or owners. When I went to pay my bill at the counter, no one was around so a female server took my payment. I used their tablet POS system chose the option for a 20% tip, signed for the bill and chose “No Receipt”. I’ve made a million tablet payments with other companies with no issues. The female cashier says “uh oh” and looks visibly confused at some pop-up screen so she waves the male manager over to the cashier stand. He looks around on the tablet and blames her for messing it up and says she didn’t do something correctly. So he swivels the tablet back towards me and says “can you add the tip” so I said confused “I already added the tip and signed and asked for no receipt” and he insists that something didn’t get processed properly so I go ahead and enter a dollar amount for a tip, their system still giving some sort of error. So I try to explain the transaction already went through, it’s not letting him add this dollar amount tip because it’s already closed out. At this point I open my banking app and show him that I have a pending charge and tell him that the transaction already processed, I already added a tip of 20% that the tablet system generated for me. So at this point he calls over the other male, and without knowing the situation he prints me a copy of my check and points to where it shows the amount of my check and NOW he tells me “you need to leave a tip, you didn’t leave a tip”. This is where I went from confused to annoyed because obviously these men have no idea what they are doing with a POS tablet. He keeps showing me where the receipt he printed has a tip line of _ (blank because I didn’t physically sign or put in a tip amount, I pressed 20% on their electronic payment tablet), it even shows my electronic signature. So I say “if the tip line is blank, well so is the total line because I didn’t physically sign a receipt, I did it electronically on the tablet”So at this point they are both accusing me of not leaving a tip and trying to force me to leave another tip because their system is giving them an issue. At this point there are a few other customers standing and waiting to pay their bill, embarrassing for me because they are accusing me of not tipping in front of other customers so I say “I’m sorry you guys are having some issue with your tablet but I already paid my bill and left a 20% tip. The transaction already closed, I’m not leaving another tip because you both don’t know what error your system is having” and I said thank you and left. Really unacceptable to accuse your customers of not tipping if you don’t even know how to use your own system or don’t know what a situation is that you’re walking into. Maybe train your wait staff on how to use the POS so they can close out their own transactions instead of micromanaging them and not trusting them to handle money. Our server was great, maybe he can teach the not tech-savy managers how...
Read moreMy favorite breakfast/brunch restaurant in Oldsmar! I’ve been coming here for years and I will continue to for more! This place is a 10/5 in my books, everything is ALWAYS so great when I come here, I have never been disappointed. This will be a lengthy review since I have come here so often so I’ll categorize:
Food: With great portions, the chefs here never miss! I regularly get a variation of their delicious (and huge) pancakes, bacon, potatoes and eggs. The french toast is so yummy too! I’ve never had a complaint about any of it. And when members of my group may want a change in their order once they have received it, the staff are very generous and understanding! I have only not liked one item here: their savory crepes, it just wasn’t for me and had way too much STRONG cheese. But their food overall is so fresh and of great quality!
Service: The employees and managers always have a smile on their face and a joke to crack. They keep me coming here again and again because I know I will be treated well. Some managers frequently check on our experience and have a great conversation with us, which shows in how great their customer service is. Every time I come the waiters/waitresses only get better!
Atmosphere: The decor on this place is the definition of cozy chic! It is ALWAYS kept clean and tidy, where they have beautiful sunlight coming in from the windows and nice music playing in the background. I have never felt crowded or anything or that sort while I ate here, either.
Overall, give this place a chance, there’s no way you...
Read moreHad breakfast here last Wednesday and I wasn’t impressed with the food nor our waitstaff, Denise. She was impatient and borderline rude. My companion ordered herbal tea, it is listed on the menu, but Denise brought a bowl of everything but herbal tea. I brought it to her attention and she was perplexed as to the type of tea and then got annoyed that we mentioned it is on the menu. She came back with a decaf tea bag at one point to see if my companion would accept that, which she did, and snapped when we pointed out she took the hot water pot already. Apparently, she didn’t have hands enough for a tea bag and a hot pot as she informed us. I don’t remember the name of this egg skillet I had, but I paid $12.50 for it and it was such a small portion for two eggs, some frozen diced veggies, and Le Peeps signature potatoes (nothing fancy here so I’m unsure the secrecy). I’m out to breakfast with friends once or twice a month - Keke’s, First Watch, Bob Evans, Broken Yolk - so I’m aware of portion size and cost comparison. I won’t be back to this establishment as there are too many other spots to get a quality breakfast without...
