My second bad disappointing experience here with a different stylist so I will not be coming back. I didnāt even want the girl cutting my hair. In the middle of my appointment I canceled my cut. First off, she slopped the dye on as if she was running out the door. It got in my eye, then it was all over my forehead and ears. She said āIāll clean this up when I wash it outā.its normal to have dye along your hair line, but this was insane! People have sensitive skin and donāt want dye on their skin walking out of a salon. She also didnāt out the clear gel on the skin to protect it from the dye. Also, she used wayyy to dark of product. I have black hair now. I had a lot of beautiful definition in my dark brown hair and itās all gone now. When you come in for roots and leave with full on black hair thatās an issue. When she went to go wash my hair, she was rubbing the hair together really fast (which damages your hair!) when she went to go blow dry it it was so tangled I said I would blow dry it myself. So she gives me a brush (a blue one with a bunch of blonde hair in it) I ask if she has a paddle brush, she said this is a paddle brush, I was like well a square paddle brush. She hands me another brush with a bunch of blonde hair in it I attempt to pick out myself, and then goes on to say, āI mean you can use this one⦠itās not mine, this isnāt even my station, my station is over there, but I guess use this oneā um ok. Ya hair in a brush is normal but for new customers you CLEAN the brush before you use it on someone else! You should never have a customers have to do that! Or see it for that matter gosh. I eventually gave up picking all the hair out, and I said I would just blow dry it at home. I was still charged $85.00. Which is fine whatever but what made me the most upset is when Iām at the counter they ask me to schedule again and I proceed to say, āI wonāt be rescheduling with u guys againā. You would think whoever was at the counter with the stylist would realize a customer not only canceled their cut in the middle of a visit but also left with wet hair, youād think to ask can I ask what went wrong or how we can do better. They did not even care at all, this salon has absolutely NO respect or care for their customers or improving their staff and business. My first time was terrible too, I also left not coming in with what I scheduled bc to the stylist āmy hair was too long to do what I wanted and it would take a long time so she would be there āforeverā even tho I was willing to pay and I had an appointment. Both stylists asked me to come in early so I did, both were in a hurry and didnāt seem to want to be there, both did a bad dye job, both left me leaving the salon with not receiving the things I wanted. I gave this company a second chance but they really DONT care. There were also two women outside of the salon who were unhappy with their services also, and asked me ādid you have a bad experience?ā At first I thought they were selling something but they were actually waiting to go in the complain about their service and how unhappy they are with their hair to try and get their money back also bc of bad customer service. Iām sorry but that is insane. As someone who just moved here I thought they could be my new salon, but hell no. No way. Youād think having a new customer they would care more and want to do at least a decent job. Nope. They do not care. I also today heard stylists left that salon bc itās so terrible. What a shame! I was hoping they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been on and off in this salon for 10 years. I got disappointed for a third time and definitely do not plan to come back. They have couple of knowledgeable professionals but their customer service is continuously horrifying. My first departure was caused by hairdresser sharing way too much of her personal life struggle with me during an appointment. Second time they gave me to a completely new girl during my scheduled appointment because my hairdresser had her friend last minute coming in for a hair fix. Lastly, I scheduled my appointment recently in July for September since I had been endured and have a hard time walking. Called in August to confirm appointment. Called again 10 days prior to appointment to add my daughter for an haircut. I was ensured that we are ok. Text came a day before with confirmation and I accepted it. When we showed up at our scheduled time we were called out by receptions for being 30 minutes late late and told that Becky took another customer. Then we were told that we should schedule new appointment and we could wait 15 minutes on the top of 20 we already did to talk to Becky. Since there was no reason to talk if there was no appointment, we left. Manager called from home 30 minutes later to convince me to reschedule my appointment instead of being on the way to salon when the front desk called her initially, making sure there were enough hands to take us in. As a long time customer of prestigious hair salons across the US and Europe, I am surprised that the salon with such a poor customer service can remain in business. Poor customer service for overpriced low class salon....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI moved to the Tampa area about three months ago. I wonāt share the long drawn out brutal story but I hadnāt been to a salon in nearly 600 days. 595 days to be exact, but whoās counting. Haha After all this time and not even the slightest touch up, my hair was in serious need of some attention. Since I moved I had been in search of a new salon/stylist. After a number of conversations with various people, I spoke with my boss and she referred me to Mystic Hair and more specifically Jen Viscarra. She gave Jen a shining review, so I thought Iād take a chance. Having been MIA from the haircare scene for far too long, I was nervous to let anyone, anywhere put shears to my beautiful mop. I mean it was a three year excruciating journey to grow my hair out, the last thing I wanted was someone new hacking it up. But alas, I trusted my boss and decided to go, and it was the best decision EVER! From the start Jen was warm and welcoming. After learning how long it had been, she made a point to ensure I was comfortable every step of the way. She talked me through the entire process so I understood what she was going to accomplish by the time we were done. Then when we were finished, it looked amazing by the way, she proceeded to help me choose the perfect products for my hair. Not only for what was best in general but also what was best for the way I normally wear my hair. She gave me valuable tips to ensure I was caring for my hair the way sheād care for her very own. Jen was amazing and I cannot wait to come back to see her again. Maybe this time it wonāt be 600 days⦠;)...
