The Villages.net — Attraction in The Villages

Do not book a trip here as a guest if you are trying to play golf. The 40 executive courses fill up and you cannot make a tee time until you arrive. We are flying to Florida to stay at the villages, but cannot play ANY of the Executive courses. We managed to book 1 championship course as a member of the public 48 hrs prior to playing with 7:26am as the only tee time available. Again, if you are a resident, you may have a better experience. As a guest, this is not a golfing destination and the staff doesn’t like talking to guests; 3 out of 4 of the people we spoke with on the phone to book tee times acted annoyed and put off and maybe shouldn’t be in customer service. One lady was very nice and our Airbnb hosts are great, but it seems everyone is annoyed with the golf booking system. Go somewhere else if you are a guest...

Seen American Martian the Sunday free concert at The Villages. With 2 for 1 beers and good music you can't beat the nightly entertainment. The atmosphere lends itself to all ages and brings everyone together.

The band is fun and charismatic playing medleys from the 60s to today. It's hard to find a decent rock band that can have a good time and AM's banter gives the music a great life. For over a decade they performed at Disney and that professionalism is still strong in bringing a crowd together, especially for a theme driven cul-de-sac bedroom community like The Villages. Your first thought should always be, "Heck yea! I pay an HOA to rock out!"

The Villages Florida is everything you hope it will be and more! When we moved here it was so much better than we'd hoped, I think it took a couple of years before we stopped waiting for some kind of glitch or hitch that we'd possibly overlooked because it truly felt and feels to this day (6 Years later) that we're living a dream!!! It's the best thing we EVER did! Something for everyone here. You don't have to be a golfer, you don't have to be a social butterfly, you can live your own dream your own way in the most beautiful, well kept community anywhere!
