I would give zero stars if that was an option. Went in yesterday with my husband, adult daughter and adult son. It was my bday weekend and they wanted to treat me to whatever I wanted.
I had just recently done an extensive Ulta shop so didn't have much to get. My daughter picked her something and talked into trying a new foundation. Got in the long line.
Saw the bday month display and remembered my email. I could get the email to come up but not the bar code due to the metal roof/building blocking good service. We told the very rude cashier it was my bday month but couldn't get bar code to come up. She very rudely told us we HAD to pull the bar code up to get the free item. After trying over and over again to no avail (she could see that I had the email), we paid for our items and went outside. I forwarded the email to my daughter that was finally able to get the barcode. We went back in (a very long line) and tried to get the attention of cashier on the end to avoid the line again. We were totally ignored (surprise, surprise). I waited in line for 5 minutes and finally just left.
The little free sample item isn't a big deal. It is the principle of it all!!! The cashier could of just said " I see you have the email, can I check your drivers license for accuracy of bday month" and then given me the free sample item with our purchase. Instead she was extremely rude to the point I felt belittled for trying to redeem this bar code for something Y'ALL send as perk.
I will never go here again. I can buy my items other places where they appreciate my business. My husband and my son said "I don't even know why y'all shop here. Everytime we have been with y'all, they have been rude and can't be bothered." So I reflected and totally agreed. So why do I keep going back when I have so many other options for the same products.
I'm done and you should know who is representing you!!! By the way, I went two stores down to Bath and Body Works to grab a few things. I couldn't get my bar code for member coupon to come up there either because same building. The representative there said " No problem. I can see you are a member. I have a bar code here I can use to give you the discount. " That is customer...
Read moreHello y’all, if you want a good experience and great customer service, then don’t go here! The cashier named Kennish gave me the worst experience! So much so, that I went to the manager shortly thereafter and was told she would speak to Kennish about it tonight. Nothing else. I will never come back to this location again. Who wants to be vomited on? No one! Kennish told me that because I didn’t ask her to tell me how many points I have in rewards that, that is why she didn’t tell me (So, it’s my fault and I am in the wrong?). When I explained that usually the cashier tells me before I give payment, she immediately told me no. Then, I said yes, they do. She again said no and told me that maybe that was done before but not anymore. And to add insult to injury, she began explaining the new policy they’re told to follow. Just more reasons to justify herself. 🤦🏻♀️ First of all, I could already see her bad attitude a mile away and the ladies in front of me (waiting in line) had to wait for Kennish to stop talking to her co-workers (later found out that one of those co-workers was the manager. Now why would a manager take up a cashiers time with chit chat knowing full well she could see the line of customers waiting to check out?), and then when she was good and ready, more waiting, she called the next person over to do her job. Yes, let’s all bow down to her. Who do you think you are Kennish? Coming here just 2 days before my birthday, I was happy and excited to gift myself a few things, but that immediately went away after dealing with Kennish. And don’t get me started on the manager. Kennish must be her friend because she didn’t offer anything to quell the frustration of dealing with her employee. Just a simple, “I’m sorry you went through that. She shouldn’t have done that.” What good does your words do for me? Absolutely nothing! Oh and by the way, this happened a week ago. So, don’t discredit my complaint as another emotional rant. I have had plenty of time...
Read moreMy experience at the Ulta Salon was petrifying . As a black woman with thick natural curly hair, I was expecting to be embraced by my black salon stylist Lorna, instead I felt as a burden and a inconvenience. From the moment I stepped into the salon, there was no since of professionalism from Lorna or welcoming energy. She asked me was my hair detangled and I expressed that it was not. I was told by one of the workers when I called earlier this week that the wash was included in the cut. She then proceeded to passively ask me how long it takes to wash my hair and how long have I had it in its undid state. None of this questions were asked in a professional manner. The stylist was speaking to me in a manner that a upset aunt or older family would approach a younger member. Disrespectful. I was beyond taken back. Not only was her attitude uninviting, but her questions coming from a hairstylist were appalling. After instructing for one of her other co workers to wash me, who was nice and consoling, the woman expressed to me how ulta runs on a hour service time for each head. Immediate red flag.As a black woman, we know that our hair takes way longer than a hour to care for. After expressing to the lady washing my hair how I felt uncomfortable and didnt think this was going to be a good fit considering Lorna was going to be cutting on my hair, I left with wet and unfinished hair. Although this was my decision, Lorna was seemingly unfazed and appeared as if she did not care. Although this might not be every woman’s experience, this is just a heads up for any and every one of my natural queens to note before booking. I would not recommend this institution to any of my family and friends wanting to be cared for and acknowledged when dealing with their beautiful natural hair. I am beyond...
