My wife and I visited this location and as we walked in, an older couple was having a pay dispute with a manager. A sign of things to come.
We ordered our food on the tablets and sat down to wait. While we were waiting, a man at a nearby table went to tell the employees his food was wrong, a common enough occurrence in a fast food restaurant, but this man would eventually make 4 trips. I received my food, and sure enough it was also wrong. I asked for chicken instead of beef, which costs more so I went to have it fixed. I would receive three different crunchwraps before finally getting one made correctly. A third customer went up to the counter and asked where his food was. The manager who kept getting my food wrong told him that another customer (the man I mentioned earlier) took his food and they were making more. The first man heard this and went up and told the manager what he thought of that. He told the manager that when he went up to collect his food, he was told it was his order number and the mistake was theirs.
Tl;dr - this taco bell was poorly run that day. I don't go there regularly so I can't say if this is routine for them, but I plan to avoid this location from...
Read moreThis is easily the best Taco Bell I've ever been to. I drive between Austin and Houston a lot and will now stop here probably every time.
First off, I got in the drive-through line when it was really long and expected to be in line for at least 20 minutes. Every other Taco Bell I go to either does not have an efficient system set up or has really crappy workers, because they are the slowest chain fast food joint I can think of. I was probably in line for a total of 3 minutes, as whatever song I had on when I got in line was still on when I was out. Very pleasant experience on that end.
Most importantly, even though they got my food to me quickly, the food was prepared perfectly with no mistakes. I don't think I've ever been to Taco Bell where my food wasn't messly prepared and didn't have at least one mistake (e.g. me requesting no sour cream and then them including an entire pint of sour cream on my taco).
I was overly pumped. Like, it doesn't take a lot for Taco Bell to exceed expectations, and there's a pretty low bar, but people need to know. If you're going to go to a Taco Bell, this one is a good call. Granted, I've only been here once and next...
Read moreThis Taco Bell opened around the first of the year, and from the first day the service has been slow and the food has been below par with the average Taco Bell. Whether it is the drive through or dine-in, 90% of the time something in the order has been wrong. I know it takes some time to get the kinks out when a restaurant first opens but I have seen no improvement from the first day this Taco Bell opened. We and many people we know watched with great anticipation once we found out there was to be a Taco Bell opening in our area since there is very little choice in places to eat in our area. After our last visit through the drive through, we paid for two taco salads with extra guacamole. When we opened the boxes containing the taco salad, mine had no quacamole and my husband's had less than a teaspoon worth. That was pathetic and has made me wander why we keep going back. For now, this Taco Bell is last on our list for eating out. Sorry, Taco Bell in Hempstead. Please get your...
