Sitting in this drive thru was the worst experience ever. It literally was the longest wait. There are two lanes, the outer lane order is taken way before the inner lanes. We waited in the inner lane for roughly 15 min just to get our order taken, meanwhile individuals who had arrived after us in the outer lane had already ordered, gotten their food and left. Once we finally placed our order at the speaker and was asked if we were using the mobile app, we get to the window and gave our form of payment and was never asked again for the app, as we attempted to get the cashiers attention once she took the card to tell her about the app. She turned and was like you can enter it in on the receipt very nonchalantly. We pulled to the second window to get our food which was a small order compared to others we were seeing and was told to pull to the third window (that blocks the entire drive thru line, which was probably the reason it took so long for us to place our order) We waited so long that we were about to call the store because we had 2 or 3 cars squeeze past us in order to get by to keep the line going (which made me nervous we were gonna get hit). Once we placed the call, they finally came up after waiting another 15 min. I’m sorry as much as I like whataburger I would never go to this one again it’s too much that could have been done to alleviate the wait time. Cars that have to wait could be told to pull around the building not to block the line, the cashier could have followed thru with asking about the app and requesting the app first before the payment, and finally the helpers working the outer lane, could inquire about individuals waiting in the third lane if they have seen them their for quite sometime. Read moreWell let's review... I ordered the jalapeno cheeseburger with mayonnaise, no mustard. I was asked if I just wanted mayonnaise so I reiterated that I want all the veggies and cheese and beef and mayonnaise, I just don't want mustard or ketchup on my burger. So while they were preparing my gourmet meal, I went to fetch me some sweet tea in my brands new 32 which was part of my deluxe meal package. Folks let me just remind everyone to take a small sample first when you're thirsty and needing a ice cold, sweet tea! I tell ya I almost lost my appetite over what could only be a musky remain of what was probably yes earlier that morning. After realizing I hadn't died, I found the fountain drink dispenser that conveniently has a tea disposal system built in. So I cleared the cup and started over, this time with Dr. Pepper. It'll work. Now the food came out just as we were reaching our sitting accommodations and it didn't take long to have another issue arise. Remember that jalapeno cheeseburger with all the veggies and cheese and meat and mayonnaise, minus the mustard and ketchup? Yeah, it didn't make it to the grill. What did get prepared instead was a nice plain and dry jalapeno cheeseburger add mayonnaise. My lovely lunch date offered to go make a complaint to the register but I explained that we would just use what little time we had to eat what we received and I would write a review later. Here I am, and there you go. Like super busy I can understand making mistakes, we're all human. But we were the only people in the restaurant besides a part of 4 that was half way through their meal. Read moreEdit: about a month ago we had a terrible visit to this location. Here is the original post....Avoid this location if at all possible. To start our stop for breakfast we went to the drive thru, as 5 cars in the A lane continued to progress we decided to go inside. There was around 10 people waiting for their orders, a gentleman beat us to the counter with a wrong order. Now at the counter before I even placed our order I made a statement that maybe the microphone for line B may not be working as we waited for at least 10 minutes and wasn't even acknowledged. Frustrated, I made our breakfast order anyway, she replied "you want coffee or what with that??"......um...definitely not impressed at this point in time but I pay for our transaction. While waiting customers were pacing and we heard a few of them walk up and ask about their orders and for the manager. No manager came even with multplie requests. We waited an additional 15 minutes for our food. Found out one gentleman was still waiting after 45 minutes. They were not short staffed as there were probably at least 10 employees that we could see. There is absolutely no excuse for the painfully slow service and lack of attention from the manager on duty. Will not return to this location. New addition: After speaking with GM Jamaal about this visit he apologized and asked us to reconsider not coming back. Today we did. Dexter helped us from start to finish and the visit was like night and day. He was attentive and polite and our food was served quickly. We will be back. Thank you Dexter. ...
