Vacations Perfected Inc — Attraction in Panama City Beach

If I could give 0 stars I would. We have never had problems at Shores of Panama, until we stayed in Unit 1017, by Vacations Perfected. When we booked the room, we sent a message asking if early check in is available. The company responded saying early check in would be available up until 12pm central time as long as no one was occupying the room the night before, at the time it was not booked but could change, we understood that. I messaged this company morning of asking about early check in because we had already arrived in Panama City. The company messaged me back saying that early check in is never guaranteed, but they would add me to a list of units that would like to check in early if it is done being cleaned and inspected, and if we would like to check in early there would be a $50 early check in fee. We thought it was odd that this fee was never disclosed earlier, but we still were willing to pay it. We never heard anything back so we checked in to the room at the normal 4pm check in time. Upon arriving to the room, we quickly realized there is no closet to hang your clothes, they had a rack in the master bedroom with no hangers. So if you are wanting to stay here and hang your clothes, be prepared and bring your own hangers. Honestly, we were prepared to look past all of these minor details until it got BAD. That night we decided to cook dinner and noticed that the pans, cooking utensils, plates and silverware were dirty and still had food residue on them. During that same time, some water had spilled on the floor so I went to clean it and the towel was completely black from the floor being dirty. I looked at my feet and they were BLACK from walking on the floor in the condo. I immediately sent this company another message about how dirty the floors were and the issue with the dirty dishes. The next day they responded and said that the room was cleaned before we got there but they would have someone come back out to clean the floors again for us and leave us some dishwasher pods so we could wash the dishes. Stephanie from Cleaning Your Way came to clean our floors while we were down at the beach. We came up at 4pm and she was still there cleaning the floors. She quickly left after we got back. When she left we realized she had not left any dishwasher pods and she had stolen my Ray-Bans from the kitchen table in our condo. I immediately sent a message to this company and they asked for photos of the sunglasses so they could investigate. Finally after 3 days of texting this company asking for an update I was told that Stephanie had been with the company for 4 years so they would not be taking any action. On top of all of this, the condo is full of dust everywhere and just all around nasty. On our last day, check in was at 10:00 am, at 9:20 am, two cleaners from this same company, a male and female, barged into our room. We told them we check out at 10 and they said "oh oh yeah that's right". I am utterly disgusted by both of these companies, Vacations Perfected AND Cleaning Your Way. If you want to stay at Shores of Panama, do yourself a favor and DO NOT book with any unit by Vacations Perfected. Absolutely...

Lovely condo at Shores of Panama in PC Beach. The condo Unit 1418, is as advertised and provided a clean, comfortable, enjoyable place to live as snowbirds for 5 weeks in January/February. The grounds are stunning and well maintained. Unit 1418 had everything required to live comfortably. The tv's offered streaming and cable options. The 2 bedroom unit provided space for guests, and the bunk area provided additional storage space for luggage, etc. The kitchen and bath are well appointed, with adequate towels, hair dryer, soap. lots of pots and pans and utensils. The seatback on the barstools were a nice upgrade from traditional backless bar stools. Beds were comfortable and decor throughout the unit was understated beach decor--very nice! The lack of a dining table was not an issue for us. The balcony had a great table and chairs combo, and looking out over the Gulf, the beach, and the lagoon pool never got old! High quality washer/dryer was a joy to use. Problem of leaky kitchen sink was reported, and fixed within a day or 2. Same with the dishwasher. We would definitely stay here again! Dedicated 2nd floor parking spot was very nice to have! We looked for a guest book for our unit so we could leave a note (as requested by the owner), but never found one. So, to the property owners if you read this review, please know that we thoroughly enjoyed staying in your condo and would love to stay in the future.

The property is beautiful and within walking distance to Walmart so you can pick up whatever you forgot to bring along. The large, on-premises hot tub was a real treat and always had friendly people to converse with (from all parts of the country). Employees were always friendly and helpful. We checked in with ease. Arm bands were replaced as needed and desk clerks were available when needed for information and advice. We also loved on-premises, organized activities including yoga, Bingo, movie nights, which allowed us to meet new people and enjoy their company.

A couple of disappointments which could not be avoided: The indoor pool was shut down for several weeks due to air quality issues. Repairs were completed two days prior to our leaving and the heated indoor pool is in great shape now. Also, one elevator broke down but was repaired within a couple of days.

Outdoor Lagoon pool is stunning. It is unheated, so a bit too cold for swimming Jan/Feb but was still nice for a quick dip or to sit or lounge on one of the many beach chairs/loungers and read. Would have been nice to have been notified of temporary closures of pool, hot tub, elevator thru beach tv or regular notifications from property managers. We booked our reservation through Vacations Perfected. They were terrific to deal with and went over and above our expectations in all of our dealings with them. They truly are the best! And, we will contact them again when we are ready to rebook!

And of course there is the beach. Simply outstanding! Enjoy sugar sands and emerald green waters as you walk the beach and pick up sea shells. What more could one ask...

We have stayed at Shores of Panama 5 times now. This time in unit 325. The view was nice as expected but the condo was lacking in several areas. First, every time the air conditioner was running, it had a loud whining noise. The tech came by (while we were at the beach so we didn't get to speak to him) and said it was working properly per our later phone call since the tech did not close the door fully, we were mortified to come back to the door open. The was actually the 2nd trip for the tech since the ice maker did not work and the patio door would not lock. We were there when he came the 1st time and told us he had been at the unit the day before looking at the ice maker and was already aware that it did not work, yet we were not told in advance. They did bring us a bag of ice after I mentioned that if we had known, we would have stopped and bought some ice when we arrived in town. The unit is very low in kitchen dishes, silverware and glasses. I had to hand wash daily to have some to use. Not their fault, but whoever stayed before us put away cookware, spatulas and other serving pieces back in the drawer dirty. I had to clean many items, but I would not expect the cleaners to go through the drawers. Prior guests should have put them in the dish washer. The pictures had 2 tall chairs on the balcony, something I always look for when booking so I can see over the railing. They were not there and when I asked the agent, she said they had been broken and removed. The listing should have been updated. There were no loungers either on the balcony, just chairs. They also need a small dresser or something for storage/place to put things for the 2nd bathroom for the bunkbeds area. I had to bring a chair from the dinette set in the bathroom to use for a place to set the clothes I wanted to wear after shower. The 2nd bathroom was large, but the shower is incredibly tiny. Only used it once, rest of the time, we took turns using the master shower/tub combo. Very little counter space in either bathroom and no hooks on the back of the door to hang a robe or the clothes you plan to wear after shower. Nothing can be done about the counter space, but I've never had a condo without at least one door hook for a place to put clothes. We came in mid May, but many teens and college kids were out of school and were loud, very loud, screaming at all hours of the evening. It has become a thing for one to start screaming from their balcony and others start screaming as well. (New version of marco-polo) One particular night, the screaming went on for One night at 1 am, someone even set off the fire alarm. And everyone was told to evacuate. Not cool! Even though the facility was maybe 2/3 full, there were rarely any free lounge chairs and the hot tub was overcrowded with teens and college kids every time I looked. This used to be a wonderful resort, but has been taken over by young people who feel they can intrude on everyone else's vacation so we will not be returning...
