Walden Park Apartments — Attraction in Kissimmee

If you notice the good reviews are coming from a certain background culture. But allow me to give you the inside scoop of these apartments. They are nice and up keeping. However alot of units have old appliances management refuse to change unless the tenant moves out. That's when they put in new carpet and flooring. The new flooring is easily to tear its not even real tile. The pictures that they post are a few units with new appliances. Since I've been here there has been so many different maintenance people they can't keep maintenance people for long. The only one that been here the longest is the big guy Jose he like to play inspector gadget. The previous property manager ivelisse was terminated because of her misconduct she ran alot of people from the neighborhood and treated people nasty. Her side kick pet is Elizabeth which is still here. She's two faced meaning she tells you one thing but her actions shows another thing. If someone says you did something she will tell that individual to take a picture of you..which is illegal recording or taking pictures of an person without consent can bring on civil suit. Unless the person id committing to crime.One thing I've noticed Hispanic stick together and it's a few that gather together and nitpick with people from different buildings and bother people children just because they don't like the parent. And it's sickening. It's a kid friendly neighborhood however you have some individuals exposed their racist card. There are several (Karens) in the neighborhood and those are the one that have a problem with everyone. The new property manager is okay but still trying to fill her out. When the trash is full and you can't put nothing in the dumpster and people start to leave their trash bag by the dumpster and there's no way for you to get to the dumpster to put yours in cause it's full to the max and numerous of trash bags is blocking the walk way you will be charge $75 per bag. Yep I said it. They hit damn near the entire complex with it and everyone was upset cause how can you get to the dumpster u less you step in others trash bags and the trash is filled to the max. They go around bothering people cars telling them they have to move it often or it can get towed if you own more than one car. Maintenance half do the job when they call themselves fixing something. The ac units break down alot they all needs to be replaced to me. They need to replace the carpet atleast every 3 years you can only clean old carpet so much. The new so call matted flooring is a waste they need to stick with tile. The increase in rent is getting ridiculous you pay all utilities separately nothing is included. The gate always broken it will work for a few days and broken again. I've seen so many leasing consultants in the past few years seems as if they are running a staffing agency along with the maintenance people. Alot of people have cameras on front door and inside of unit cause of previous maintenance been stealing. If you think I'm lying go around ask the people why they have cameras inside/outside of their units. You gotta pay to wash your car at the car wash area which should be free. They need to have the wooded area by the basketball court cut down and expand for other amenities because homeless people be coming out the woods onto the basketball court where kids be playing. When calling the front office they barely pick up the phone. One particular time I went to the front office and called them while standing their and I seen one of the ladies ignoring it she looked at and kept typing on the computer. Somehow my review was deleted so I'm putting it again. I moved here in 2011 from newyork everything was great from the community to maintenance. After management was changed everything changed with it. My apartment was full of mold I complained numerous times manager would have maintenance come and paint over it. My refrigerator broke four times and they brought me four different ones from different apartments with the door handles glued on. To top it off I had to move because they hired a leasing agent and moved her next door to me who then moved her boyfriend in that was NOT on the lease and would be in the hallways at all hours of the night and was a registered FELON to her apartment. The office had no knowledge of this and when I brang them proof nothing was done. His arrest record was 8 pages long with serious crimes and I had a minor child living with me. I called corporate they said he was removed from the apartment and they were investigating but up until the day I moved out which was 4 months later he was still there and the office said they don't know because they don't work at night so they don't see him. They break into cars and the office can't help. On numerous occasions there have been random men sleeping in the laundry room and in the gym with the office being open and no one knowing anything until being told. This complex is not safe at all if you have children do not move here this is not a safe environment at all. Manager hides from residents just not to speak with them when there is a problem. Let me just say that the Community Director Ilusion is such a wonderful, kind hearted person. I ended up calling on Saturday the day before Easter after looking up apartments for 2 hours. I figured why not? Ilusion answered the phone so professionally, her tone was so gentle and she took the time to hear me, answer any questions I had and give me information on the property, she even said I could come by with my daughter to see for myself. So I did just that. As soon as I saw her and she introduced herself it was like I had known her for years and we hugged each other. I thanked her for everything she had done because moving with a kid in school and having to make them leave their friends is a stressful situation. Ilusion was a sweetheart to my daughter. The property was clean, the office was beautiful and the pool looked amazing! On Monday I called to let them know that I was going to head there to turn in the documentation that was needed. When I got there they had everything ready for me. The office staff was very organized. But was I surprised? Not really because if the staff is anything like Ilusion then I knew I was in great hands. Also, the process to apply was very easy. Just follow what is required, print and give it to them. So to wrap this up let me say that I had a wonderful experience. I’m happy and my daughter is happy.
