World Market — Attraction in Poway

This review is not for the whole chain (I love the stuff they carry and I’m a fan) but only for the specific branch at 4S Ranch in San Diego. I ordered items online for in store pick up. When I went there, there was no designated counter for online orders, atleast none that had any attendant manning it. So I wandered around tying to get a hold of someone to help. But this store is seriously undermanned! Eventually went to the check out counter closets to the hanging sign for online orders and the check out lady there barked at me with an angry expression saying “Excuse me, you need to get in line with the rest, the line begins way back there” I politely explained to here that I’m here for my online pick up that says I need to just walk in and pick up my stuff and she just said “ok, then wait here”! No apologies, nothing!!! Wow! I understand that the staff here may be overwhelmed/over worked as there seem such few, but lady, you are in a “customer service “ job. Get your act together! The holidays are pure madness at cost plus world market, they're always lines, the stores doing its part to help with social distancing. Your normal World Market, a huge variety of random goods that come from all over the world (or at least appear to). Different foods, furnitures, toys, etc. Everything is extremely overpriced though, and cheap quality, so if you are looking for anything in particular, you are better off going to a store that's actually geared toward that specific region.
